| April 14, 2008 boston 278 posts | Hernia surgery comeback Anyone out there have hernia surgery and come back quickly. I just had inguinal hernia surgery on April 1st. I would love to comeback and play by the end of this month is that feasable. |
| April 15, 2008 Hit the gap Men's 60 139 posts | Hi Boston. I have had both sides done. The first one was done with the scope through the navel and the second one was done the old way with the incision just above the pubic bone. Either way, you should wait the full 6 weeks before doing anything that could retear the repair. Avoid any lifting over 10lbs for the first month. It will be worth the wait. |
| April 15, 2008 boston 278 posts | Thanks for the feedback. I had the incision and I was hoping I could swing a bat in 4 weeks. I have already started working my shoulders, triceps and biceps while seated with my resistance bands. But I guess I'll stick to coaching for the next few weeks. |
