| May 21, 2008 boanerges Men's 50 3 posts | Looking to play in a few tourneys I'm new to this site. Just turned 51. 6'3" 233 still bench 400. Play church league with the young guys. Looking to try the senior circuit in a few tourneys. Thought I would check them out. Any tournaments in the Bama area. I'm used to ASA and would love to play with 1.20 bats. |

| May 22, 2008 Dirty Men's 50 1375 posts | Can someone please correlate the bench press with softball? So Ted Arcidi would have been a GREAT softball player? |

| May 22, 2008 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Hey Boanerges, I have a 50/over team in Birmingham. Are you located in Alabama? Playing ball til late tonight. Call me tomorrow night, if interested. Love to talk with you. Steve 205-647-2881 |
| May 25, 2008 boanerges Men's 50 3 posts | The bench press numbers are simply to indicate that I keep myself in shape. |
| May 25, 2008 boanerges Men's 50 3 posts | Steve, I'll call this weekend. Thanks. |
| June 24, 2008 dcrouse 3 posts | Actually, research has shown that some of the best power hitters also have a big bench and a big squat. A 400 bench usually is indicative of a power hitter. There is a reason Bonds, Maguire etc, used the roids to beef up. Strength puts the balls out. The research on slow pitch softball power and bench work is all over the internet. |
| June 25, 2008 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Hey Boanerges, did not know if you had found a team. If you are still interested, please call 205-647-2881. Thanks |

| June 26, 2008 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Am I missing something or what? Here is a new guy, hoping to get into Senior softball and help grow the game we love. Some, though, just have to make foolish and disparraging remarks. Obviously, he has not been back on the site and why should he? Just to be insulted again. The result, I needed a player, but have not heard from him. Hopefully, he fould a team closer to his home in south Alabama. |
