I have a 30oz senior combat Mike Macenko model...10". After 100 swings or so, it woke up and its an awesome senior bat. It has a more endloaded feel than my Ultra2 which is also 30oz...and it hits with a different feel...both bats crush the ball and sweetspots are huge. Those who like more endload, will have an option in purchasing this bat. The U2 feels like it has more give and to me it feels like the ball buries into the bat. The Senior Gear, has a firmer feel to me ...a crisper hit on the ball....both bats superb.
Congrats to Kevin and Mike for bringing out another winner...and another option to us seniors.

Bogie, you monster with a bat,
You're gonna be in Phoenix?
Cool.
I've been hitting Kelly's Super Freak now
and have 200 plus swings on it
and it TRULY gets hotter with every swing
just like the Original Freak did,
plus, I don't have to worry about protecting it
in BP cause it takes a while to break in.
Ron Joseph and I love it.
He's buying one this week.

See you in Phoenix.

I have nothing against hotter and hotter bats, I guess, but how many of you guys who live and die by the new, hottest bat claim to care about pitcher safety?

Guys, you just cannot have it both ways without changing/ruining the game more than you already have. 1-1 counts, time limits, floating pitching rubbers, face masks, chest protectors, shin guards, and pitcher halos are all direct results of hotter bats.

Dirty,

Your comments remind me of two people. One is Spike Lee; he would always heckle Reggie Miller when the Pacers played the Knicks in the Garden. The other is that heckler who sat behind the Bullets' bench. That's okay; this is a free world. I think your comments are quite comical.

On a serious note, I do believe that 90+ percent of the players have concerns about the opposing pitcher's welfare. Contrary to one's belief, there aren't very many balls that are hit up the middle in senior ball. During the course of the game, one may see maybe 5-8 balls that are hit up the middle in Major Plus. If both teams have a combined total of 60 at bats, you are talking about an .08 - .13 chance of getting hit. That's not too high of a risk. Let me make this clear; I am talking about 5-8 balls total.

Also, I am not that much into NASCAR, but as the cars got faster, more equipment was needed. People talk about HOT cars daily.

I am sure you understand the importance of competing. I have read many of your posts, and I don't think you would drive a Pinto in the Indy 500.

Hey Ho,
That's because he hasn't crapped in your garden yet.
You come across on the field as the farthest thing
from a guy who would take any crap he didn't deserve.

What's the good word my good man?
Going to Phoenix?
Recovered from Cincinnati and all the good times?

I had the Stoneman down with me in SF not too long ago
and we hit a ton of softballs, had a lot of laughs and didn't kill anyone
that I know of.
Well, there's always next time.

Stay cool, Ho.

Joe,

Yes, I have finally recovered from Cincy. Playing there was like attending a family reunion. It was awesome. Like I said earlier, it's always a thrill exchanging words with you. I also enjoy watching you between the lines. You are one heck of a ball player.

You are right, I am an easy going guy but taking crap is not on my agenda. I would say that I can throw down with words or a little physical activity hahahaha.

As for your weekend with the Stoneman, I wish I could have been there. As I said, I think I am going to have to plan a weekend to SF, and perhaps the Stoneman can be there too. We could hit some balls and have a few adult freshing beverages. If that's not to your taste, you can drive and watch me and the Stoneman.

I will not be in Phoenix. I will be putting my attention towards another sports between the lines......BASKETBALL. No, I don't play. I am the coach. I haven't ran down a court for a loooooooooooong time.

I love the way you stay on top of things when it comes to softball. You always have words WORTH reading.
