Joe, you will really enjoy the Huntsman games. The games and the medals are nice, but meeting new friends from all over was the best part of the week. I've been there a few times and its always fun, i played on two teams in different age groups the last time and just by chance it worked out to where there were no conflicts and we won a Gold medal in each group. Have a good time and good luck in Phoenix.

What team are you with this year? I'm with Redwood 50 out of Eureka. We play 4 seed games at Snow Canyon against some good competition. Late games on monday.

Jef,
Forgot to ask why you aren't playing with Stockton 50's? Redwood doesn't play down our way..

When the team started having to many chiefs I felt it was in my best interest to start looking for another team to play with for the future. My first plan was to go to Phoenix, but getting released and finding another team was slow. I looked at the Huntsman site and hooked up with this team. According to the coach is a solid squad. One of the players that also got picked up is from the Stanislaus Sluggers. He and I played together back in the 80's. He’s a solid lefty which plays the corners.

Jef, In as much as the team name isn't listed here of ncssa, I would venture to say it could "very well" be good.
I know of a team that attended many CA NV and AZ tourneys under up to about 5 different names. I wonder if this is the case or just a good mix of players...
One reason I've been for this data base of players. One great thing with Huntsman is that you can recruit from anywhere or any level. You all know that going into it and how their seating goes, is sometimes an amazing mess.

I don't mind the seeding game as it allows me to get into my game and work out any kinks. I'll have to pace myself with 4 seed games. It may seem like a mess, but it sure balances more of the brackets out. I like playing the different teams and the varied competition you face. It's one of the reasons I've gone back. Plus I get to put faces with the guys from this board.

Jef,
Seeding only 2 for Mon two for Tues, those games are either show or blow, (while still fun), the real games start Wed. Lose 2, and you can go home early. Figure on playing 3 that day, anyway.
Have a great time there. I'll miss seeing the guys I've met there over the years and ones I was looking forward to meeting.
