Were sorry syracuse merchants
As a member of No Dice I hope you will accept our apology for not getting the chance to play your team for the national title 55AAA in Phoenix. We have been told that since we have won the western nationals, a five team tourney.[the only tourney we have won this year] That we have been moved up to majors. We have no problem playing in 55 Majors its just that since we won the 55AAA western nationals and you have won the 55AAA eastern nationals we should play each other for the title. Well we wont get the chance because of a decision from the top of SSUSA. The runner up is a fine team and should give you a good game. We just feel we have been burned. We played you in the TOC 3 times. last year. Your a great team and we will miss playing you. Good Luck.

No Dice earned the right to play in this game. Is SSUSA going to take them out of the AAA division in the TOC? This is not right. You win a tournament that has a specific reward then you get the reward. SSUSA is becoming increasingly inconsistent (See the"Rankings thread" message on the board). No Dice, you're right you've been burned.

OOPS! The "Rankings thread " has mysteriously disappeared. Basically it said that if you won a number of qualifying tournaments or a "major" tournament you wouldn't be moved up until after the "World Championships" or until the Winter Worlds in November. I may not be quoting this totally accurately since the thread disappeared. The "Thread" came from SSUSA.

To Everyone,

Let's be perfectly clear here, there are no rules that are consistently followed. It is what someone wants it to be or is this just a front to make a false statement to take the heat off of SSUSA.Anyone else wonder about this? No Dice is removed by 2nd place finisher, Over-The-Edge, another team that should have been bumped up to Majors after winning the Spring Worlds. HMMM, one would wonder. No Dice, Double Nickels, and others have all been burned. No Dice has won enough rings and should have been moved along time ago. Double Nickels after 8 years finally won a ring tournament at the LVSSA Worlds, and they should be playing in the Major division too. Let's be real here No Dice, what other teams have finished 1st and 2nd in ring tournaments more than your team? That is a compliment and your team must be very good. Can anyone name a team that has a chance to win the tournament of champions in consecutive years in the same age and level? Well, No Dice has that chance, unless they get burned twice. Let me ask you again, are the rules consistent for all? No Dice, this is not intended to knock your team in any way, because you must be a strong team to accomplish what you have in the past 2 years, and all in the same 55AAA bracket. The above mentioned about winning 1st and 2nd place finishes was meant to say in the last 2 years in the the same divsion and age. I am expressing all of this just to let everyone know about the lack of rules the past year or so. I respect your team, and please do not hit me with the ball, if we play your team in Phoenix. I am too old to die! LOL! :-)

Hey Andy Double Nickels> Agree with what you said. We are just a group of guys that have played with and against each other since the 70s in the santa cruz rec leagues. I dont speak for everyone on the team , just a concerened player. This is our 2nd year in 55s after 5 years in 50s. We did have a great year last year . National champs, western states champs, toc champs, 2nd cal cup 3 in the worlds ,and speaking for my self thought we would be moved to majors after the toc , which like I said have no problem with.,, I was just wondering how things worked and thought that moving teams in the middle of the year a little strange. And by the way. , no worries, we dont aim at players, were here for fun and just glad that we are playing decent ball at this age.
