Moving to Oregon, looking to jointeam
In the next several weeks I will be moving to The Dalles Oregon. I will be looking to join a 50+ team. In the past years I have played on a team called "My Cousin Vinny" from Massachusetts and have played in the Worlds in Arizona the past 2 years. I play outfield and concidered to be fairly quick;

Welcome to Oregon.
You will find The Dalles.....well let's say remote...when it comes to senior softball. The city is redoing its softball playing fields this fall, and should have them ready to use in the spring. If you choose to play there, it will be against much younger guys or co-ed teams.

For senior action, hop on I-84 and head for Delta Park, in Portland. Super complex. Do a Google search for Delta Park and check it out. They have a great over 50 league , spring and a fall ball league. Games start at 6pm...it's a double header every evening, usually on Mondays. There is a ''team finder'' at the Delta web site. Join it and go to the try outs in April and you will be on a team. Travel time to Portland from the Dalles ....about 1 hour and 20 min. Beautiful drive through the Cloumbia River Gorge.

Oregon also has a ''Oregon Travelling League''. Senior teams play down the I-5 interstate corridor, from Eureka California to Portland Or. Actually....Eureka Ca...Medford Or..Bend Or...Eugene Or ....Salem Or...Portland ..
Or/Vancouver Wa....Redmond Or
Teams play on Sat and Sun...usually 3 games on Sat and 2 on Sun. Great league. Usually meet once a month.

Here you should fine a SSUSA team to hook up with if interested.

All the best .......

Thanks for the information. I didn't think there was much in The Dalles. I'll definately check out the web site you provided about the Portland area.

If you can play at a high level, look up the Four Seasons team from Portland. They are a very good team with a nice bunch of guys. Great looking uniforms too!

I've played at the AAA level. Is the Four Seasons team a Major or major+ team?

Jawood, Thanks for the uniform compliment, we just added another color, we now have "nine" tops.
