Hey Bagbey's! Glad to see you guys are going again!

We played you last year at the TOC. You have a nice

squad. It would be great to play you guys again,

(we had a very competitive game) but they

moved us to Major. Good Luck down there!

Co-Champions with the Barcelona Bandits.

Bandits played back from the loser's bracket. Great group of guys with alot of heart. In our championship game the lights did not come on. Played one inning in twilight darkness. TIED at end of 5 innings. Players on Bandits team needed to catch their flights. Lights then came on but some players had already left. Great weekend hitting the ball. Ugly infields at Desert Breeze fields. Beach sand infields that never had ground maintenance.

Same field for everyone playing but some true hops never happened. We are looking forward to Florida and the Tournament of Champions.

Just received word back from Sacramento.
Barcelona Bandits are 1st place. (50 AAA)
NorCal Legends are 2nd place.
Second game was not completed and because Barcelona won the head to head to force the if needed game they are the Champions. Wish the local director would have said this because we would have played. No one said anything and just let it end at a tie and as I said players had already left by the time the lights came back on.

Next time we will play in the dark and get the game in?

Hey GE,
#22 (groin pull guy) from Bandits. Just received the word as well and...I speak for our entire team, you NorCal Legends guys are all class and we would have been just as happy sharing the championship with you. Two great games with you guys with nobody wanting to lose. With my injury, losing 2 players Sunday (injury and a death in the family), and seeing that you guys had injuries too, it was clear that in the end, it's a war of attrition. Having never been to a "real" championship game myself in my 3 years of senior ball, it was awesome to compete against a great team and one wanting to win just as much as us. Hope to see you guys again and good luck to you guys at the TOC in Florida.

GE,
I echo Tony's (#22) sentiments above.
I find it interesting that teams have "personalities", wtih some seeming like jerks and others seeming like really nice guys. Your team is in the latter category. You guys are great ballplayers, too.
Looking forward to next time...

#1 SS To the Bandits, hope all your team is on the phone to Terry to tell him that both teams agreed to a co-champion. As the director would not make a decision that had to be made at that time. Terry is saying that both teams withdrew and that was not the case.

Thanks,
Rooster
