Miken SuperFreak
I said I'd report back on the site with any changes
regarding the experience I had with my Miken SuperFreak.
I have well over 500 swings on it now
and after yesterday's experience with it
I'm happy to say it's now the hottest legal bat
I've ever swung.
I have a 28 oz and it's probably too heavy for most
because it's so end loaded and it has to be swung hard,
harder than the Ultra 2 or the Combat
but I hit a 350 foot line drive with a crappy Worth Gold dot
that was knuckling without any spin
that would have gone well over 400 feet with any backspin at all.
I would advise going an oz lighter than normal because the need
to compress the bat head with a faster more violent swing
seems real to me at this point in the development of the bat.
It gets hotter with every swing and is now
the end loaded Freak I was looking for.
Again, if you look at Kelly's website and see Mike's son Anthony hitting bombs with it
you have to note that Anthony is a very big and strong young man
with a very aggressive swing.

einstein I've got a 28oz Super Freak. I would agree with you for it hits great line shots with movement and I hate to say this but I hit farther balls with this bat than any senior bat. If someone likes to hit with end loaded bats this one is the one. It'll most likely will be a senior bat next year. A Very Sick Bat.

Lefty,
How's it going??????
Guess you ate to much for Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!
I've heard a lot of good things about the Super Freak but haven't tried one yet, just too many bats in my bag!
Can't wait to start hitting again, may go to Classic Spring training.
I'm filling my time now deer hunting. Went to Wyoming and bagged an 11pt that went 320+, a real hog of a deer!!!!
also got a really good antelope.
I guess as usual there will be a warmup T in Birmingham before Montgomery.
Who are you going to play with?
Take care and God bless.

Hitman: You are a super freak.I saw you play in a couple of tourneys. My uncle said you hit over .800 for the season.
I have used the SF in some women's U-trip tourneys and love it. I hit pretty darn good for a petite gal! I know who Lefty is also. You guys have a reputation.

I got a 28oz SuperFreak a few months ago, and it does feel heavy. All my other bats are 28, but, like you said Joe, it swings heavy, and probably should have gotten the 27. Mine is also starting to break in and getting better every swing. I let my son use it some of his tournys and they are hitting bombs with it and love it.

Ok Misty,
Now you have me curious!!!!!!!!!!
1. Do I know you?
2. Who is your Uncle?
3.Who does he play for?
4. Where have you seen me play?

I played 12 Senior Tournaments and 7 with the young kids.

I did have a great year but only with God's blessing after two knee operations and a ruptured L4 and back surgery, I was finally pretty healthy this season. I guess when I'm healthy I play better. Along with playing with a great group of guys our team played as a team espically when the chips were down.
Thanks for the comments and looking for answers,

Sorry for stealing your thread, Einstein. I don't hit hard enough to even worry about bats, etc. But I did want to say hello to Lefty(Joe), Hitman, and Monty, in light of their references to my little tourney in B'Ham in '09. Since you did, guys, I went ahead and posted another message in hope that interest would be expressed. Thanks, Steve

Hitman: Now, I can't reveal all that information. However, maybe I will see you play in B'ham ot M'gomery. Uncle says you are one of the best hitters he knows. I know some of the senior players from B'ham, M'gomery & Atlanta. I play on a 35+ team out of the Atlanta area. Uncle is from the Atlanta area. I will hollow at you at one of those tourneys. Misty
