Hey Wagon487, although I do believe our defense is going to be improved from last year, judging on last's year's defense, we do not have to worry about moving up! We can score, but we couldn't stop anyone from scoring more!

Robert is our only consistent HR hitter from last year still on the team. We have signed new guys, but have not seen them play yet. Anyway, I like to have at least 3 players who can pop one every now and then.

Robert, talking about couch potatoes--5 years ago when I started trying to put a team together, I called more than 70 men whom I had played baseball or softball against in our teens, 20's, and 30's. Only 2 still played, but were not interested in travel ball.

As far as winning is concerned, it is not the most important item on my agenda. Just to be able to play and be competitive is most satisfying to me. That is why I don't worry so much about defense!

Happy New Year and Go Bama!

I agree Robert; getting to meet many new friends and seeing that there are still a large number of guys and girls who are senior players, in great shape, and still are very competitive. It sure beats staying home and cutting the grass!

Seriously, if there are a couple guys in Ga, Al, Tn, etc who might be interested in playing this year, would love to talk to you.
