TONY MAIURINO PASSES AWAY
THE SYRACUSE, NY. SOFTBALL COMMUNITY AND MANY OTHER PLAYERS AND TEAMS WHO KNEW TONY ARE SADDENED BY HIS PASSING ON DEC.30TH, 2008.

TONY, WHO WAS 71 YRS OLD, WAS EXCITED AND GETTING READY TO PLAY NEXT WEEKEND IN THE TOC IN FLORIDA FOR THE SYRACUSE CYCLONES 60'S TEAM. HE HAD A HEART ATTACK ON DEC. 30TH AND PASSED AWAY. THIS IS A SUDDEN SHOCK TO THOSE WHO HAD KNOWN TONY AS HE ALWAYS WAS PROUD AT KEEPING HIMSELF IN GREAT SHAPE TO PLAY THE GAME HE LOVED. OBVIOUSLY, AT 71 YRS OLD AND STILL ABLE TO PLAY ON A 60'S TEAM....TONY COULD PLAY WITH THE BEST OF THEM. I AM SURE HE WILL BE WATCHING MANY SOFTBALL TOURNEYS FROM THOSE BLEECHERS IN HEAVEN. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AT THEIR LOSS.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, CONTRIBUTIONS CAN BE MADE TO HUMANE ASSOCIATION, 4915 1/2 W.TAFT RD, LIVERPOOL, NY 13088 OR THE ASPCA, 5878 E. MOLLOY RD, SYRACUSE, NY 13211.

YOU CAN SIGN A GUEST BOOK AT: SYRACUSE.COM/OBITS.

THANKS,

CHUCK SHARKEY
