PRAY FOR OBAMA
In a few hours this young man will start running this great country of ours. Menbers of this message board have a hard time agreeing on anything but no matter how you voted. For the sake of our kids, grand kids 401k's etc we have to hope and pray he'll be the best President this nation has ever had. I know he sure has a hard row to hole.

JB: I may be being anal here, but I believe the word is HOE not hole. Having met politicians from Chicago before, the word might take on extra significance. I truly hope this is not the case.

I'm no fan of Obama's politics but it is a historic day and I presume the Obamanistas will party all night long. When the honeymoon is we'll see what "the one" has in store. A proposed trillion dollars of new government spending is not something that should be even remotely considered.

Well said John Bob..No matter what political preference you are,, we are all AMERICANS.. We must all work towards getting this great country of ours back on track for our future and tha generations to come..Many Americans have fought and died for what we have and we can't let them down nor can we let the freedom fighters of today down.. So, "America, LETS GET GOING"

First, for all slaves and descendants of slaves
this a great day.
It's a great day for all of us embarrassed and humiliated by
the history of slavery and it's effects on our culture and country.
Obama's going to need all the help and support we the people can give him
given the self interest and crimes in our name that the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rove/Gonzalez/Liddy Admininstration.
have perpetrated and committed.
I am glad that the international war crimes tribunal
is not affected by US money and propaganda
and these individuals can and will be held accountable by the international community
going forward for all the mayhem and destruction wrought in the name
of the American people.

All I have to say to the Democrats who are now in power: ball is in your court. Good luck.

most of the older generation keep up with what's going in country's economy and politics , the election of obama will hopefully get the younger generation more involved and paying more attn to what's going on not only in america but the world in general, AWAY FROM AMERICAN IDOL, AND ALL THOSE REALITY SHOWS THEY WATCH. obama is now the man, we need to wish him god's speed and best of everything in making the right decisions for the benefit of all americans. MY .02C WORTH. (PS: I VOTED FOR MCCAIN )

I was somewhat disappointed (although those with at least two functioning brain cells knew the nit-wits would show their lack of class) to see how President Bush was heckled by the far left stooges. Even Jimmy Carter did not deserve that. Hopefully, Conservatives will show class and treat President Obama with respect. Something President Bush never received.

I, like everyone else have strong opinions regarding this election.

I agree that we as individuals, and, as a country all need prayer; maybe now more so than ever before.

And

I do not believe this is a topic or format designed or destined to belong on a softball board.

We have enough trouble addressing the softball issues at hand.

4X4 I agree with you. Let's keep the political stuff out. I've noticed enough bickering on the message board about the rules and ratings. No need to throw another log on the fire!

I think that we should pray for the country now that he is elected. He doesn't need our support - he has Oprah!
