| Feb. 25, 2009 Dbax Men's 60 1149 posts | There are some there, but who wants to stay there? We stay in Reno and make the drive. It's 45 minutes. Much more fun in Reno. |

| Feb. 25, 2009 Dbax Men's 60 1149 posts | When this came up for us a couple of years ago, nobody wanted to stay in Carson City. The drive was not that bad. |
| Feb. 25, 2009 taits Men's 65 4001 posts | A few casinos are available as well as other hotel\motels on either side of the cost spectrum. Most all are only about 5 mi or so from park. |
| Feb. 26, 2009 DesertDave Men's 60 74 posts | If the 45 minute drive is not a problem, you might consider staying at the California/Nevada state-line at South Lake Tahoe. It is about the same distance to Carson City, has casinos, and is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. |
