I haven't hit it but have heard that it has good pop, just no durability.

Just got mine in from Walk. I hit with a balanced version last November in Baton Rouge. Like BruceinGa said, the bat had great pop but did hold up well. I hit a couple as far as I ever did an Ultra II but by the end of the weekend, the bat was no good. The problems I saw were mostly around paint flaking off and then the bat just caves. Hopefully, the newer releases won't be as bad. Since we play so much SPA, I got one. I used the Syn + last year in SPA events, but just did not like the sting - plus it was a little light.

You know what they say about hitting, it's 90% mental and the other 50% is ability (to paraphase Yogi!).

THIS IS FROM MK#39's POST:
Topic: Bats Discussion: Kombat bat by DeBomb
barko34:
I have hit the bat and here are my findings.
1. Paint chipped off of most of the middle of the barrel within 100 swings. The stamps that make it legal ( 1.20 ) were no longer there.
2. The bat cracked severly on it's 290th hit.
3. The bat broke in aroung 100 hits and got hot. The first 100 hits felt like a hard composite bat but still had decent pop.
4. I believe this bat will have to be changed to increase the durabilty otherwise Combat will have way to many returns.
5. We are not going to be offering the bat until we see what changes and how it affects both performance and durability.
6. The Miken Freak Plus is still the best USSSSA 1.2 bat . Only problem for Senior guys is that Miken still wont sign with NSA, neither will Wilson/DeMarini so there new bats like the Freak plus and the Evo will be good for USSSA but not for NSA or SPA.
JMHO
Hope that helps.
Thanks Mike Kelly
