I have had a system for three years-I'm
on the road so I do not have the names or model number-can get that for you later. I have my systems mounted in a 40" x 60" trailer with a gas generator to run them.
I use the word system because unless you
have a helper or use it for a team you
will need some help.
The first ? is what are you going to do with it? BP by yourself or with a helper
or team? Ground balls-fly balls,etc.?
I started out with a single wheel type-works Ok but as soon as the wheel and or the balls get hot the pitchs become longer or shorter so it take a lot of time adjusting the thing. It works good for infield flys and short out field flys. To get a higher and longer outfield fly I'm using a 11" ball not a 12". For ground balls the spin is in the wrong direction, the ball stops as soon as it hits the ground.
You will need a feeder,ck to see how many balls the feeder handles per/m-I
get one each 12 sec.that's 5 balls a m.
I try to hit 200 each sat-that will take
you 45-50 m. to hit 200 balls(I used 4"PVC to make a 24 ball shoot)-it will
take you 25 m. to pick up 200 hits to all fields.
I wanted to get some ground balls so I bought the arm type this year, like you see at a pitching place(called "Iron Mike"). It does much-much-much better for BP and ground balls. I have both systems mounted in my trailer.
The first system cost $500+/- for the P/M and $200+/- for a 1000 watt Gen.
The second system cost $1,000+/- for the PM and $400+/- for a new 3500 watt
Gen
trailer $250+/-200 balls ???-get used ones.

I will be using it for BP only and using it by myself. I live in the
country so I don't need a generator.
Any specific makes and models?
