Aug. 7, 2009 SOFTBALLGRAMPS Men's 55 98 posts | MM COMBAT I saw a grey combat being used at BLD in West Covina on Wednesday nite, does anyone know if the MM combat is allowed? |
Aug. 7, 2009 taits Men's 65 4548 posts | Should be ok, BUT call the office there and ask: 1. Are the Ultra2 bats banned? And 2. is any other bat(s) banned? ... You should get a yes and a no reply. Post if different. That is a corporate decision across the board for the U-2. The one here which is privately owned, thus was ok back when I put T's on there. Not sure now. New mgmt. |
Aug. 7, 2009 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | MM is not legal at BLD in Cathedral City, CA |
Aug. 7, 2009 Lecak Men's 60 1026 posts | It was when we played there (Cathedral City) in late June of this year. I was swinging mine along with a pile of other players. |
Aug. 7, 2009 seniorsbfart 44 posts | My son tells me that all BLD fields are USSSA and the umps sometimes get the 1.20 for senior softball and the 1.20 for USSSA mixed up. The official answer is USSSA 1.20 so the MM bat is not legal (my son is both a player at BLD and a ump). |
Aug. 7, 2009 angus73 Men's 65 100 posts | According to the flyer for the BLD in Manteca CA., only the U2 is banned. I recall using the grey combats last time. I then would assume that the 510 would be OK as well. |
Aug. 8, 2009 curveball Men's 65 705 posts | Lecak, I think the decision to ban them was in late June or early July. They are not allowed at this time for sure..... |
Aug. 8, 2009 seniorsbfart 44 posts | My son talked to the BLD director late yesterday and they are imforming all the umps to look for the USSSA APROVED 1.20 on every bat. If the bat does not have it the player might get kicked out of the league (ump talk). |
