| Aug. 17, 2009 JimS Men's 60 10 posts | Northern Illinois Clubs and Leagues Mount Prospect -Arlington Heights Area The Melas Park Sports Complex in Mount Prospect, Illinois is the place for recreational Senior Softball at its best. Every Tuesday and Friday morning, from the first of May thru the third week of October, batting practice starts at 9:30 AM and 2 or 3 nine inning games start at 10:30AM depending on how many players are in attendance. Pitching screens are used and all bats are allowed. If you want to join a fraternity of almost 150 players and play on some of the best fields in northern Illinois then you need to contact either Ken Wiater 847-359-8180 email KenWiater@comcast.net or Ron Cubberley 847-962-6447 email RonCubberley@gmail.com for complete details. The per player cost is $50 for the entire six month season and includes a T-shirt and free admission to the annual mid-season cookout at Ken’s house. Ken and Ron do an excellent job administering this exceptional opportunity for senior softball fun. If you know of other clubs and leagues in the northern Illinois area please contact me with that information so that we can spread the word.
