I don't want to "rain on ur request" but...unless Terry Henessey and Company of SSWC have changed the rules, you will NOT be able to play with another team because u didn't QUALIFY with another team to be allowed to play in the Phoenix, AZ Worlds. I'd suggest you give Terry a call in Sacramento,CA and give him your story...and if, circumstances are enough to persuade them to change the rule for you...and another team wants to take you with them....God Bless you.....don't be real surprised if they say..."WE'RE SORRY", but NO..!

If someone has more recent information of encouragement for this player..please straighten ME out!

Good Hunting..

If what you say is true HR7 why should anyone have to play in a qualifier, if SSUSA just lets anybody play, defeats the whole system. i could see letting a team pick up a player that hasnt qualified if the team lost players because of injuries or some reason like that.

Not all the info from this guy was supplied to judge fully, but here is some of what I believe is the "rule". If rule(s) is\are not adhered to why have it\them? If double standard, add it to rule. Book list a section referral incorrectly, I noted in caps.
If I am incorrect here, please tell me, thanks.
-----4.2(1) RELEASING PLAYERS
When a team qualifies for advancement to the Senior Softball World Championships, that team’s roster is frozen, and additions or substitutions for players already on the roster may only be made
In accordance with section 9.2(2) as follows: < DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT 9.2(2)AS WRITTEN HAS TO DO WITH THIS: 9.2 FOUL THIRD STRIKE ??>
A. Both the manager and the player must sign the release and the written release shall be forwarded to SSWC headquarters.
4.2(2) ADDING PLAYERS
Players may be added under the following conditions:
1. The team has qualified.
2. Players being added must be from an older division. FOR EXAMPLE: A 55+ Major team must select replacement players from a 60+ or older Major team.
3. Players added must not exceed the 20-roster limit.
4. All Divisions: Teams in any division can add players from the next older age group and in the same skill level (FOR EXAMPLE a 50+ AA team may add 55+ Anot add 55+ AAA or Major players).

Book has typo in last line above, should be ...add 55+ AA, not add 55+ AAA..... I'd think.
It sure would be better if all, or as much as possible, info was asked or given in these "seeking type" posts.
Bottom line is if his not attending team actually qualified what age bracket and rating was it. If a 60's team, he's ineligible I say since he can't play 65's. But if 55's or 50's he should be ok depending on ratings for teams involved.
