Prayers for Mark Purvis
this is part of a email I just opened. Just thought I would let everyone know that Mark Purvis that plays With the Miken/ Old south team ( the old JAH Masters) had a heart attack this morning. the Doctor said there is damage to the heart, but they do not know how much, yet they had to use the paddles on him. He actually had it at the hospital--THANK GOD!
he is at St. Joseph's in Savannah,GA This is onother time where the softball brotherhood should pull together in pray for a follow player. Thanks in advance for all the prayers.

My wife just talked with JoAnna, Mark's wife, and heard that he is now able to talk and is resting. He wanted all of his softball friends to keep in touch. If anyone wants his home phone or address, email me at b_fairchild@hotmail.com

Mark had lost a lot of weight & was looking great & had a big smile in Montgomery; with all of us praying, the Good Lord will pull him thru. I want to thank the SSWC for having this board; we can contact 100's of friends in a short noctice when something occurs. (This is the best website) It just goes to show that we may be from all parts of the country & we want to win the big titles, but bottom line, we have developed life time friendships & have each other to lean on in time of need.

Thanks Again

I hope Mr. Purvis pulls through with flying colors. I've lost 2 friends this year do to early health problems. It's very sad. Best wishes to the Purvis family.

Hey Guys,
Ricky Huggins here,I was suppose to hit with Mark Thursday afternoon and didn't hear from him. I tried to call him at home last night and this morning and couldn't reach him. Just happen to be going tomy little league site and stopped in this site, I'm glad I did. I will be heading to the hospital in about twenty minutes and will give an update when I return. I have been knowing Mark for many years and he is one of the most humble and caring people that I have ever met. I know all you folks are praying for Mark as we are and I'm sure the good Lord is listening. I will be in touch.

I spent about an hour or so with Mark and JoAnna and he's getting along fine. They will keep him untill Monday to run some test and to monitor his vitals. He was talking ninety miles a minute and Mark knows what a lucky man he is to be alive. If Mark had not gone to the hospital when he did, he wouldn't be here today. He did look sexy in that little gown though.

Thanks Ricky; I tried to contact JoAnna 5 times, but she was with Mark; knowing Mark he probably had the gown on backwards with the sheet down (LOL).

Thanks for the info
