Oct. 20, 2009 JamesLG 420 posts | True Home Run Hitter I have seen it said many times on this board that HR's should be for the true "home run hitter". with that said why should the rest of us waste our hard earned $ buying a new bat or two each year? you can hit singles and gappers with a well seasoned Freak or Synergy. I for one feel extremely fortunate that I can still go out a play this game. I just don't like to see this game get overmanged. It was pure and simple 5 years ago now we worry about hitting the ball too good. Thank You: James |

They've brought us down spiritually as well as in the caliber of game we like to play. As I have said many times this has been done to and through us by the guys waging a war of price and control and we need not feel guilty or bad because we want to have a good time and get our game back. This is the main issue and has been the main issue all along. We don't like what's happened and there is someone(s) to hold accountable if and as we want and need to. Even if just to let out some frustration, pain and anger about it. And as I have said, don't lose hope because from what I'm hearing real help is on the way. |

In the winter league I play in we have a rule that only guys 70 plus can use the U2 and since that only the true big hitters are parking it over the fence. We have a handful that can park it once in a while and one guy that hits it 350ft almost every time. That guy I heard has starting using a wood bat so with our fences at 275 it will be interesting to see how that works out. Overall the U2 rule has balanced out our league and kept the HR to those that can really do it. On a side note I am not really behind the idea of our big hitter using wood since I like watching the ball hitting the top of the trees that outline the field. |
