In the winners bracket final, the play in which EBO's Mike Vaughn was injured ended a three-up three down bottom of the 6th for Seacrest. After an approximate one hour delay where emergency services personnel stabilized Mike before taking him to the hospital, play resumed with EBO putting up a goose egg in the top of the 7th. As winners do, Seacrest came roaring back in the bottom of the inning. Down to the last out, Duff steps up to the plate for Seacrest - if he makes an out, EBO wins. Instead, he proceeds to launch a three-run walk-off homer to send his old teammates and friends (still) to the losers bracket.

After outlasting a game OKI Players squad in the losers bracket final (congrats to OKI for playing their butts off), EBO again took on Seacrest in a game that was alomst a carbon copy of the winners bracket final. EBO had leads of 5 - 8 runs throughout the contest, and was up by 5 going into the top of the seventh. But, once again, they did not push any runs across in their turn at bat. In the bottom of the 7th, Sal Formaos hit a one-out base loaded single to drive in two runs and win the game and World Championships for Seacrest.

The two games between EBO and Seacrest were very well played affairs, with Seacrest's showing their championship mettle by pulling out two hard-fought victories.

EBO's Mike Vaughn is now back home in the San Jose after having surgery Sunday night in Phoenix. He has a long period of rehab in front of him in hopes of being able to walk again in 9 - 12 months.
