Any Updates From Florida?
Does anybody have any updates on the major plus or major 60 teams from the Winter Nationals in Florida?
Thanks,
Donnie

Donnie, in pool play, NY Statesmen 0-2, AMR 0-2, Brix & Stix 1-1, Miken/Anaconda 2-0.
First game of de play, Statesmen beat us. I'm not sure who won the game between B&S and AMR.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking straight last night. We were 3-0, B&S were 2-1 and I'm not sure of the results of the last pool games of Statesmen and AMR. I was told that we play AMR this morning so I guess B&S won along with Statesmen.

Props to a good hitting AMR. They beat us and I believe they went on to beat B&S.
I was playing on the next field on a 50 M team and that appears what happened.
I don't know who the winners were between AMR and Statesmen.
See you this spring Donnie.
Try to make it to Classic Spring Training in Jax!

Ah Collier, where the fields were not touched between games on Saturday and Sunday! Where field 5, from 3 to about 5 was a very dangerous place to play. The sun was in the fielders eyes, the pitcher could not see the ball being thrown to him from the catcher. Where we had 6 teams in the 50 major and it took until sunday afternoon to finish!
The umpires did a good job. Other than that, nothing special!!!

Wagon, after we (Kayson's Grille)played you they moved our next game to the field towards the parking lot, because of the sun. Funny thing is that by the time Delux Bakery finished their game the sun had set.
The fields weren't drug but I didn't have a problem with them.
I would have rather had a better ball, although most games we played were on fields with the wind blowing in. On those fields it wouldn't have mattered what ball was used.

Bruce, what position were you playing? I was the Left Center and lead-off for diamond fever.

I can't remember if I played any at first base. I played EH in later games. I was the "older" left hander that batted before our big left fielder. In later games I batted after Mike.

I just remembered :) I did play first base against you.
Is Baer any better? I didn't play in the game where he pulled his hamstring, I was playing on my 60 team.
