| Dec. 29, 2009 Gloffer 22 posts | Hitting Practice in Phoenix Area If you'd like to get some hitting practice in for the upcoming year, here's your chance. I'll be down at Friendship Park in Avondale with my bag of 100 balls or so and my PitchSafe screen on most Sundays, starting this Sunday January 3, 2010. Assuming it doesn't rain, the starting time is 8:00 AM give or take. If no one shows up I'll just hit off the tee until my hands bleed. Friendship Park is on the south side of McDowell, about half-way between 115th (Avondale) Ave and Dysart Rd. From I-10 take either the Dysart Road exit or the Avondale Blvd exit, and go north to McDowell, then drive east or west (depending on which exit you took) about 1.5 miles to the park. The softball field is on the east side of the park, and can be seen from McDowell Rd. |
