Forgive Me for Being a Bit Selfish: A Prayer Request
My granddaughter, Mena, is 5. Over the last year her kidneys have declined from 50% functioning to 30%. At 28% dialysis will have to start. She will go on the kidney transplant list. Dialysis means 4 days a week and 4 hours a day.

I know that our world is falling apart; Haiti is an awful example. There is much to be concerned about. However, I would greatly appreciate a bit of your time in prayer for my little one. I do believe in prayer and in interceding on behalf of others. I hope you do as well.

Steve,
I promise I won't shoot anything but prayers to our Lord and Savior for your Granddaughter.
She will be on the prayer list and in our minds and hearts. If God brings her to it, he will bring her thru it!!!!!!!!
God Bless,

Steve, I will light a candle for your granddaughter, Mena at church on Sunday. I realize the pain and suffering that you are going through. I inherited two boxers from my daughter when she got married and the five year old female boxer has cancer and I have become so attached to her that I am having a very difficult time handling this. I know that many say that time heals all wounds but right now I am very teared up. Both of my boxers kneel down with me each evening and pray, We will make sure that we include Mena in our evening prayers for the time being.

Steve, a prayer request is for certain a SELFLESS thing, and we will pray for her for sure, and she is on top of our prayer list at our church as well. God is a healer and lover of children, with Mena destined for a long life and grandchildren of her own.

My wife and I send our prayers, also. It is never selfish to request prayers, especially for children! We believe also.

Dear Friends, you will never know how much your kind words of encouragement mean to me and my family. Right now, it appears to be a long battle ahead, but you have reminded me that One is in control Who is capable of comfort, encouragement, and miracles. He is Lord Jesus. Thank you for your faith. I appreciate it.

Steve, I will pray for Mena. The Scriptures say in Matthew 18:19,"Jesus says,"Again, I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." By the looks of this message board, there are a lot more than two who will faithfully pary for your little precious granddaughther. I promis to pray for Mena and believe that she will be healed. God bless you and your wonderful granddaughter and family.
