| April 29, 2010 JohnBob Men's 65 256 posts | Fort Knox Tournament Just got a call from Neal at SPA and was told that this Tourney in mid May has only 5 teams and could be canceled. If your team is planning on playing in this event please give Neal a call ASP. Thanks |

| May 5, 2010 wazoo Men's 65 97 posts | Our 60 Major team was going to attend but learn a good lesson on new SPA tournaments. We as a team love to see new tournaments because it allows you to play other teams that our located geographicaly that you would never play until the nationals.The problem with the newly added SPA tournaments they are on the same date of the more establish SPA tournaments. For example the Fort Knox tournament is being held on the same date of the Pensacola tournament.The lesson we learned was the previous tournament in Gallatin,TN which was on the same date of the Agusta tournament. By the time the Gallatin tournament was canceled it was to late to sign up for the Agusta tournament. The majority of my team wanted to go to Fort Knox but decided against it due to what happen with the Gallatin Tournament. |
| May 5, 2010 JohnBob Men's 65 256 posts | wazoo,our Jim & Joe's 60 Major team will be in Fort Knox and it looks like a go. I talked to Wes yesterday and he said there were 21 teams and thought a few more may get in. As far as the Gallatin tourney it's always 1st weekend in May and the 6 teams here in Louisville can not play that weekend due to the KY Derby plus Indy and Agusta have tourneys same weekend. I talked to Ridge last year and asked him to consider moving date of TN tourney and was shocked to see it was left at same weekend. I belive that event has been canceled 3 out of last 4 years due to lack of teams??? Hope your team will come to Ft Knox we just want to play,went to TOC in Fed. and have not play since. |
| May 5, 2010 wazoo Men's 65 97 posts | Thanks for the reply JohnBob,we have already commited to the Pensacola tournament. They just e-mailed me with our acceptance letter which included 38 teams in the tournament. Pensacola puts on one great tournament but teams like ourselves are tired of playing the same teams year after year.We did not attend the TOC in february but play in two tournaments already this year.You might want to attend the USSSA tournament being put on by the "Monstor" on 6/17/10 in Tunica,MS. Several B'Ham teams plan on attending including the Wild Bunch. |
| May 5, 2010 JohnBob Men's 65 256 posts | Good luck in Pensacola. Another close tourney that should have a good number of 60 M teams is the SSUSA qualifier across the Ohio River from Louisville in Clarksville,IN 1st weekend in June. |

| May 7, 2010 Harri Men's 70 65 posts | As of this morning, the tournament is a go. Wes stated that the tournament will probably start on Friday, May 14th, instead of Thursday. Depending on your age group it may run Fri. to Sunday; Fri. & Sat., or Sat. & Sun. Should find out Sat. morning. There are 5 teams in the 65+ age group. Don't know about the others. |

Their was nine 60's teams that entered the tournament,three major & Six AAA's. the Major teams are Team P out of Pensacola Florida,Senior Moments out of Florida & the Wild Bunch from B'Ham.Good luck in Fort Knox. |
