Hot bats
I am new to this website so excuse my ignorance, I live in Naperville Il. They have bat testing and only approved bats with the appropriate sticker can be use. Is this not the case in Senior softball? If not, why not? Safety should be the number one priority when guys get to be our age. Why would anyone want to use a bat that could have lethal result? I do not play tournament ball so maybe I just do not understand the mentality. I play on an all age team and a 40+ team and it is very competitive but not tournament.

Each Association has it's own bat rules. Some do overlap. From what I've read, most fellows on here are tournament players. Most bats have markings as to what Association you can use it in
.
Saftey hasn't been much of an issue, not that many injuries. Associations have rules implemented for saftey sakes.

You don't see a saftey problem at the tournamament level, most players are more skilled than local rec league guys.

Naperville,
Welcome to the website ! What a lot of players are worried about are even when your using a hot senior bat, there players out there that have their bats rolled/shaved. These are the players that need to be removed from our game. The senior bats are hot enough without doing anything to them, as for the stickers, anyone can get stickers, trust me on that !!!
