mad dog your hard to miss, you guys did a great job, you guys are going to get us sooner or later. You did get screwed, should been in the lower bracket, but you finished third in the upper bracket not bad for a AA team.

yep mad dog thats me with the texas pickups, we are a true AA team but rated AAA because we are a new team, and that beating we got from the 60 major team really got my guys down. so much so we arent going to dallas now,no since in paying that much money to get beat up . i sure hope we get rereated to AA.
was good games playing you all mad dog.

LP, we were hoping to play you guys in Georgetown, but didn't play well in the seed games. We played in the lower division with Classics, Lonestars, Team Texas, & El Paso. We are looking forward in playing in the Texas State Championship in Dallas, hopefully we will see you guys in College Station in July. I believe that you can apply for a rating change in August, but I thought you had to play three (3) qualifiers before you could appeal your team's rating.

I have a "new concept" to tournaments........

Why don't we try this:

Major plus, plays major plus, not enough teams-play a round robin or don't play.

Major, plays major, not enough teams play a round robin or don't play.

AAA, plays AAA, same format as above.

AA plays AA, same format as above.

I agree with LP, when you pay the kind of money we pay to travel to all of these tournament and end up playing Major Plus and Major teams.........you get beat bad and then you have to regroup and go forward, some teams and some players can't rebound from that.
So why couldn't it be this simple, play in your "own" division !

I know a bunch of Major Plus and Major players, they would rather play in their own divisions, so what's the problem as ya'll see it ?

I agree. the only problems there is NOT enough 60's Major or Major+ teams in Texas. I would suggest that the TD, if there are not enough 60's Major or Major+ teams for their own bracket, put these teams in with the 50's.

Capt and #6-you guys would agree, when have either of your guys played a major plus team in any tournament in texas, currently no majorplus teams in texas and only one major, who do you suggested they play. I do agree having AA team play either is crazy. Most AAA teams with the plus 5 runs can hang and beat a major on any given day. problem is everyone wants to play AA so they can win without getting better.

capt,#6,JB..i got to agree with ya's,but like JB says there is only 1 major team and 0 major+ teams in the 60 div in texas, and it's almost that way in all age brackets by the way.
we(dallas spurs) didn't mind playing the m/m+ team,we went into the game thinking, oh well TD doesn't like us and screwed us for our bracket,so lets just play and have our own fun.
with the limited amount of teams it can be hard to have brackets.
i do think they(60m) should of played in a 55 bracket, but hey i wasn't making the bracket up.
we did have 3 60 AA teams and 6 AAA(1 new team that has to start as AAA before a real rating),don't see why we were not group in the appropriate age/div for our elim play.
remember kenny what don't kill ya's makes ya stronger,LOL.

mad dog,
It's not our fault that there are not enough major and major plus 60 teams in Texas. And yes our team has beat several of these teams, but we were clicking on all cylinders. In order to play with the big boys you have to have your "A" game every minute, every second of the game, which is always not the case as you saw in Georgetown.

LP, is a good friend of mine and I completely understand how he feels when he is throwing together a new team, HAS TO PLAY AAA until he plays at least I believe 3 tournaments. When you have new guys and your getting the s_ _ _ beat out of you, it's not much fun and you lose players.its' that simple !So at the end of you message above, If I drink tequilla all day long and it doesn't kill me, it will make me stronger ?

JB, probably the same can be said about a Major team wanting to play AAA so that they can win without getting any better.
In 2009 we played two (2) Major Team in Georgetown in seed games, we were rated AA then and we played them straight up. In Dallas we will be playing teams with the same ratings since it is a TOC.

Capt, last time I looked SSUSA had us both rated AAA, maybe you can get SASSL to make a special ruling to give you guys a break in the ratings. Good Luck in Dallas we won't be there.

JB, we will be in Dallas, all you guys have to do is show up and we are ready to play you. I know that you guys tried to get the league (SASSL)support in rating your team from Major to AAA, how did that work out for you. If you want to make a personal call to SSUSA on our behalf, go for it. We are not whining about our team rating, we will show up and play.
