big cat7, I had a MM Combat, 27 oz, end load 13 inch barrel. The bat was hot out of the wrapper but mine broke in less than 300 swings. I liked the bat but prefer balanced bats. I now swing my Ultra II and Worth Toxic XXXs.

I now have a 30oz FL 13" MM, a 29oz 13" MM and a 30oz Fl 10" MM. I find that they take about 75 swings to break in. These end loaded bats have different feel from the U2's and I'm hooked on the Combats, love the endload feel!

I switched to the MM Combat after breaking three Ultras with 300-350 swings. After adjusting to the end load I found that it has about the same pop as the ultra with more opposite field power. My guess is that it's due to the end load. I've had 3 MMs now and they are lasting about three times as long as the Ultras.I just bought an Ultra Maxload and like it, but when It cracks, I'm going back to the Combat MM .

It seems to me that even though the models and weight may be the same, sometimes two bats do not perform the same. Just my opinion.

i have switched to the combats and like them better than the mikens.my only problem was one of the red ones broke in about 300 swings.all my other combats have lasted a good long time, upwards of a 1000 swings or better.

So i guess the macenko is as good as the ultra then.My main concern was break in time, i hit two or three times a week but use an old easton bat so that i wont damage my senior bats and i only use my ultra in games. So i wanted to know how long using the macenko this way it would take to break in

The Macenko Senior bat is the real deal. Maybe just short of the U-2 on pop but I think the durability is much better. Those I have had hit good right out of the wrapper and then got better from there.

big cat7,i would say 25-75 (for the MM) swings, depending on how you swing.
