ISSA World Championships
In the 50M division, Southern Elite and East Coast are playing Sunday morning. Winner will play IMS for the championship.
Great balls, Trump Rocks. The 6 hrs and an out rule has bit us a couple of games.
Thanks to Doc for stopping by our dugout and saying hi. I was surprised to see you team losing out so early.

Bruce, I assume you mean Doc from Hendricks? I thought they would be among the favorites especially in view of their recent win in Gallatin.

Larry ,
Hendrick's did win. Our 60 team beat them by 2 in practice and then they beat us by one in the winners bracket. Then at 7pm we played Bass and beat them 34-32.
Championship game started at 8:30 pm sat night. Hendrick's had us 19-3 in the second inning before we had to stop because our players could not see the bullets that Doc and them were hitting.
Games should not be played that late at night for a 60 year old team. Both our pitchers said they could not see the ball.
Congrats to Randy and his team for the great games. Doc and all of Hendrick's smoked the ball all weekend. They just had to much home run power for our team.

Donnie, It is a shame that you have to play the young guys all the time. My hat is off to you and your team for competing with the younger guys. you do have a very strong team. You should be on the west coast. good job. Thanks Harry

LL, no, it was Doc from Veltri, formerly Delux Bakery.
We did beat East Coast and then IMS but IMS came back and beat us in the "if" game. Great group of guys!!
It was great seeing some of the old Ct Sportsplex guys, Chip, Gary, and Tony!
The Trump Rocks were flying. I think we broke 3 bats as did IMS.
All of our games ended about 5:00pm because of events scheduled at the minor league stadium.

The ball was great. They were jumping out of the park at Valley View. The 40 and 45 teams could mot keep it in the park. I seen a lot of teams hit several home runs for outs. I seen some triple a teams hit 3-5 over there limit.
See everyone in Vegas. Can't wait to play some of the teams our same age.

Those balls were great! Soft to the touch but once you made contact, they took off. We had some great games on Sunday in the 55 Major. A little rain early in our game against Docs/ Green Canteen, but it cleared up after the 2nd inning. Good team, great group of guys. We went on to face a very tough hitting team, the Minnesota Greyhounds, taking them to the last inning of the if game, where they came from behind and won. Congrats to the Greyhounds, a very good, hard hitting classy team, with a never say die attitude.
