FLORIDA CRUSH??????

I thought it was the GEORGIA CRUSH!!!!
I guess their players that live in Georgia, Sheffield, Stokes, Degenero and others, didn't play in this tournament!

Yes the Florida Crush won the USSSA Worlds and Kelly's Sports finished 2nd.
The Florida Crush is without a doubt the best 50 major plus team in senior softball right now.
We played them 3 games overall and went 1 for 2 with them.
Both these players were there Stokes, Degenero, Stoke was MVP and was the best player out there without a doubt and Dengenero was All World and hit it big time. Charles Wright was most offensive player for them and my buddy Patty Mac was All World as well.
There was never a bad word from either side in all 3 games and the mutual respect we have for each other was apparent. Both teams got together after each game and Terrel Stokes and Horace would say prayers and comforting things to help us all move on.
Great event. Fields were awesome, the tournament people were awesome and the balls were 47/500 and they were flying. No one got hurt and we will now look forward to Des Moines Ia. later this month.
Congrats to the Florida Crush.

MK,

Thanks for the kind words about our team. Just wanted to say what a great team that you have put together. Your team put on a show this weekend. Good luck in Des Moines.

To the imposter MK poster, our team follows the rules that are currently in place. For your info Chip Sheffield could not play because of an anniversary last weekend.

Last weekend was real refreshing, no crying about bats or players just real men playing real softball.

Again MK, good luck with your team.

Thanks for claiming that post.
I have seen this chat board short out before when i was posting along with others and put some one elses name in there on a glitch so i now know that you did not intentionaly do this.
You question like your own team mate said when he thought i had posted it left raised some eyebrows for sure so maybe you should ask it in a way that really says what you are thinking so i can better understand your meaning.
Thanks

USSSA is states and bordering states along with 1 exemption player from anywhere.

USSSA does not have a Snowbird or Dual residency rule anyway.

All teams were legal.

All bats were legal.

Just like Patty Mac said, no crying this weekend just men playing some ball.

I would like to compliment the Randy Smith team as they can flat out hit it.

I played 40's and 45's with 4 of them over the years and just want to say that it was great talking with Joe Reed, Bud Wheaters and Gary Kibenka. You guys put up some crooked numbers out there and if you can get some more quality players to come along to keep your guys fresh, you will end up winning some of these worlds.
IMO
Thanks

Sorry, fellas I cannot share your enthusiasm for this tournament. The balls and bats were a good match and overall the umpiring was ok. The fields were well groomed. BUT it is a pain to travel to especially to have it three days with only a 4 game guarentee.

The biggest problem, however, is the USSSA, although a member of the summit had no clue as to the rankings posted on this site. We (kidz4ever) were forced to play in 55 Major with 3 Major + teams while all other teams that were ranked Major (that attended this tournament) got to play in AAA including one that had previously played in the major division in both SPA and NSA (taking 2nd both times) and that had defeated us twice in the SPA and that owns victories in previous tournaments over Major + teams. When the trournament officials were confronted with this discrepency they professed to be totally ignorant of the ratings; which begs the question then how we with a season record hovering around .500 and with 9 60+ players got put in with the Major + ranked teams!

We took our lumps, lost all 4 games, BUT we will never attend another USSSA worlds.

The Summit obviously means more to some of the orgainizations, but the fact is that Senior Softball is anything but unified, not with geographical boundaries, snowbird rule, bats, balls, pitching heights, pitch counts, runs per innings, home run allowances, divisions etc.

What is the purpose of the Summit? So far it has provided more frustration than satisfaction!
