to start it again
this is to continue garyc initial thread of playing with lesser equipment tourney's.

well as usual joey boy your don't have a clue.MLB had to have balls stop being made (i think the ones that were made in Hatti)b/c they were traveling to far when hit.PGA came down on some golf ball mfg'ers, along with club makers b/c they were making equipment that was making the courses play shorter.also don't see where footballs fit in here, except for a few kickers who would try an fill them with helium, thinking they can get better distance.
also center striking a ball is NOT the best way to hit a ball,if you know anything about physics you would know that.center striking a ball causes knuckle balls and they DO NOT CARRY.you need to hit slightly below center for distance,so you can have backspin on the ball,or if you are looking for topspin than it needs to be struck just above center.
oh by the way your boy bogie just did his video by taking the thoughts of a bob Murphy who made his video on the rotational swing back in the 80's,and yes i do have his(bob murphy) video so don't attempt to pee on my back and tell me its raining.

Hey, guys, for one thread can we keep the personal vitriol out of the discussion? I think a lot of guys would blog their thoughts but they feel they will be attacked. Can we do one thread with NO personal attacks-just debate and see if a few more guys will enter the discussion?

Rightrj, I am assuming you do realize that if you don't like what any of us post you have the option NOT to read it.

Simply exercise that option.

Hey Ron,
Good point but there being no true representation for senior ball players
and not one association or governing
body that has our interests as paramount
this issue needs to stay in the forefront of our consciousness
until it's dead
if we're going to be able to stop from being steamrolled by ignorance and self interest.
Do you want to play with dumbed down
bats and balls?
Most of us do NOT.
Keeping the issue
in full view helps keep
meaningful resistance alive.

Dirty, I don't want to get into a pissing contest with you guys...If senior Softball choses to dump down the game or equipment, I'm sure their pockets will feel the pain! You're right, I do have a choice not read all of same things you guys say...But I'm a player just like yourself & I hear from other players that are just tried of the same discussions. We just want to play Ball and if we can learn something from a good discussion, (which we have over & over on this topic) then there's not an issue!
You guys ask all the time why most of the players don't post, well this is one of the main reasons....The same topics over & over...I know I'm beating a dead horse in the mouth bye asking you guys to change the topic...But i thought I'd give it the OLD college try!!!!

How you doing Joe? you know I got noting but Love for you! This topic just got the best of me today...Didn't mean to cause drama!

rightrj,
Can tell your scared because you want to stop talking about what the majority wants.
It is your sidekick( Joey) that brought the attacks and political statements into the discussion.
Don't be afraid if your good enough you don't need a hot bat to be a star and no one will make you
play in a tournament that don't use hot bats.Senior softball lowered the standards of the game when they allowed equipment that made a weak hitter a good hitter. When I was in my 50s I was playing senior baseball maybe you might feel different if you had to.

You're a gutless piece of crap
sir or madam
who makes comments about people
and won't show his face
and that would be a majority opinion, too.

Why Joey are you upset? Did I hit a nerve?
The truth hurts beer league boy. Can't play with the big kids so your a big man with your super ball and and big boy bat.
It is true I have seen you play and know why you don't want to bring defense back into the game.CRAP that reminds me of your GLOVE.

Joe, would that be with the exception of Norcal's NCSSA?

The bat/ball issue is really quite a dilema for many of us, myself included. While we do love our Senior Bats and the 44/375 ball when on offense, there is always the other side of the coin, Defense, thats when the ball comes at you a wee bit quicker then when on offense, unless of course you happen to be on base.
Where will all this discussion lead us? My guess is its only that, discussion by players who are concerned on both sides.

Rightrj, some day you may understand the concept of point and counter point and how it relates to change. Without it nothing ever gets done, either way.
I do respect your thoughts and can see your point. I am very sure we too get tired of making the same points in our posts. But hey, its gotta be said.

Anyone playing Hemet this weekend?
OC Mustangs will be there.
