SPA TOURNEY THANKS
I got hurt at the SPA Nationals when I collided with another player and wound up at the hospital. When the ambulance arrived the EMT asked if anyone would accompany me to the hospital since I was out of it after being administered morphine. A wife of a player from Jim and Joe's went with me though her team was playing an important game. She stayed with me for a couple of hours in the ER till she was assured I was OK. Later Ridge Hooks came by and checked on me. I just want to say thanks to these folks and the others that helped me and prayed for and with me as I was struggling to get breath. I was done after 5 games though our team went on to play 3 more. Thanks also to the EMT, Randy Goodwin, who stopped by after his shift and spent an emotional hour with me as we exchanged stories about Viet-Nam as his father and I where both there in the 60's. This experience has even more convinced me of how good most people are, and that is especially true of the folks in the Senior Softball community. Thanks everyone. Pat Herod

Great to hear you are okay. I have become friends with many people due to their actions in times of need. We all wish you well.

Hi Pat. Good to talk to you on the phone. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Pat did a 360 flip over the first baseman with a perfect belly flop at the end. Get well soon, GB & Ruth
