SSWS in Palm Springs/Reebok Bat
We, MTC 60's, had a good time in Palm Springs this weekend with and against the usual suspects in 60 major plus, GSF and OMEN.
Thanks to Larry and Tom and all my teammates for playing
so well, especially the Steves,
Imlay and Callan, and Jimmy Stapleton
who pitched and played "D" at the highest level leading us to a championship.
The balls were Dudley Thunder
and they stayed well enough even in 100 degrees to keep hitting enjoyable.
Vicky and Greg put on a good tournament.

The Reebok bat was there though mine
hadn't yet arrived in the mail
and it was the buzz of the weekend.
Lots of folks saw it and swung them
as a couple of guys brought their's and
all the responses I heard were positive.
I can't wait to swing mine in BP
this week and I'll pass along
my reactions to the bat in a couple
of days.
It was great seeing my friends
and adversaries from GSF
Corky, Ron, Danny, Freddie and the rest
especially Conway and his beautiful wife, Barbara who always brightens
all of us up with her beauty, grace
and spirit and she can really sing, too.

See you all again and more
in this year's SSUSA Main event
in Phoenix
in a couple of weeks.
Can't wait.

We were in Hemet at the SCSSA event this weekend and the street talk is the Veteran GBA will give you the same pop for less $$$. Plus the SCSSA will have this bat for sale soon so they say. Donnie said they will have this bat in Phoenix. Check it out then. I'm told there will be some at the Huntsman this week also.

Joe did you see any GBA's out there?
I saw one in Merced this weekend. Seemed like a good bat. U2 like? Not from what I saw, but a nice bat even though it had a crack (the owner said after 50 swings, and a replacement is in the mail)

Congrats to you Joe, along with the Steves and all the rest. Sounds like there was some good competition in the 60 M+ division.
I think you'll like the Reebok Melee Legend. What weight will yours be? Mine is a 28 endload and just love the feel.

Thanks, Bruce.
I got a 27 end load
which should be very popular with a lot of the seniors around here.
I felt the 28 end load in PS
and as with you, that's the weight
that feels right for me.

I gave away the white Veteran bat to the winner of my NCSSA tourney this weekend. I had a demo of the old American Pride bat sent from AZ. it had 700+ hard swings on it. It got a crack in the first game, but the hitter like the bat. I have one of the original all blue Veterans bat and it is a monster. The more I use it the stronger it gets. The barrel look new and it has over 300+ swings on it. I’m ordering another and you can't beat the price. This is a very good back-up for my COMbat senior bats.

Hitt, if that was Merced then I was talking to him for a while. I didn't realize that bat had 700 hits on it, not bad. He hits hard and as the day went on he warmed up to it alot (sorry I didn't get his name).

I've hit with both bats.
It's hard to imagine a bat hitting
better than the Reebok.
It has the best pop of any senior bat
I've swung since the Grey Ultra
and the Rip IT.
It feels more endloaded, too and that
helps my swing as it does some others.
A monster of a bat
and the bat to have for next year
as far as I'm concerned.

jah#4 Who is Christine Lee? Does she handle the warrantees if one is needed? BTW what is the warrantee on the Reebok since your buying from a individual? If there is a warrantee how does the factory honor it? The GBA has a 30 day warrantee and all sales and shipping are are from Gates in Phoenix. Just curious as to how this rep thing works.
