BREAKING NEWS ALERT! ALERT!
Terry, Chairman of SSUSA has announced that DMac and Mad Dog are going to Generously donate Sweatshirts with the "BEST OF THE WORST" ,screenprinted on them. Terry,is arranging the Sweatshirts to be delivered to all the Ballfields for distribution. With the obivious exception of where the Major+ are playing. Terry commented, "The Genersoity of these Gentlemen can not be OVERSTATED. It is the largest Sweatshirt order ever placed!"
In a CNN interveiw with DMac and Mad Dog, Both men stated that the Sweatshirts are being given so the Major+ players can idenifiy who they can have carry their epuipment. Dmac, specifically said, "There is no disrepect intended, but damn it, we need to know who we can ask to carry our EGO'S! WHOOPS!,I mean Equipment." In closing Terry stated that the, "Sweatshirts are of the highest quality and if a player becomes a Major+ in the future they will have to turn in their sweatshirt."
Futher MacDonalds has agreed to donate Happy Meals with the Sweatshirts, The meals will include Steroids, Senior Multi-Vitamins,Grecian Formula, and a piece of FRUIT! In addition MacDonalds is in production creating a new toy which will be a plastic RING with the likeness of Mad Dog or DMac on the the face of the RINGS. Again, thank you DMac and Mad Dog for your Generous contribution.

The truth is, if I can be so bold, winning AA is by definition being the 'best of the worst'. AA is the lowest level of tournament ball, that is just fact. NO judgement at all with that statement, just fact.

I see nothing in the dictionary that says anything about AA softball, let alone a definition stating winning at the AA level is winning as the "best of the worst".
That being the case there is no merit or fact to the above post! Except that AA is a lower level division.
So there must not be any point to said statement.

Most of us play the game, others only talk about it.

Hey Tommy, how did I end up in the dog house with Mad Dog? At least I wanted to put World Champions on the sweatshirt.
Oh well, if this is what it takes to get back in everyone's good graces, then I'll take my punishment like the mutt I am.
For those of you who already have the complete ring collection, I'm the good looking one.

U-trip and ASA still have "E" divisions which is lower than AA ball.
That is also in their senior play. you will not see it in all of them but it is there.

TOMAR77,LMAO...........i understand how people can see that i'm being rude with my statement, but i'm just saying if ya don't win the top rung in any sport, you can't/shouldn't claim to be a world champ.to me world champs mean you can/did beat all comers not just a certain group.i have had my best times and most fun playing in AA,AAA,and it had not one thing to do with winning, just all the good guys who play there.
so to them i apologize, sorry guys didn't mean to be mean.

and no,there will be no sweatshirts, unless Dennis is footing the bill as he is still working,LOL.hows them babies Dennis ...

Tommy,

You are too funny! As we talked yesterday, I may be going to Vegas. A couple of teams have asked me to play, but are checking with SSUSA to see if I can play on their team, since I am Major Plus. If I grow a beard, maybe no one will notice. LOL!I will call you about that BBQ, if I go, but not too likely. Good luck to you guys, and I know that you will have a good time as always.

DMac and Mad Dog, I was a little worried that you might be offended with my satirilcal humor.Thank You both for being such GOOD SPORTS , which no doubt you are on the Diamond. Sometimes writing humor can be dangerously misinterpeted. Also SSUSA, thank You for letting the Thread Ride. As far as MacDonalds , HEY! It's FREE Publicity! I bet sells of Happy Meals have soared! Where's my COMMISION?

I've played In AA all the way up to major+ and playing AA was some of the most fun I've had playing softball, they are competitive and yet still play mostly the small ball sort of game and generally have fun doing it, and are for the most part are the friendliest fun loving guys you can meet. I believe if you look at the stats, you will find that AA and AAA will make up a large portion of most every tourney

Maddog- With your theory of can/did beat all comers I see a couple of flaws. When a team in one of our major sports wins the so-called World Championship it is not valid. they only beat the teams in their Association or League. The same would hold true for the NCAA D-1 football champion. there are many situations that could be brought up that can throw a monkey wrench into your theory. One last one is if a Major + team wins their division they are only champs of that division. Unless a tourney has a final round of all division champs playing each other. then you can say you won the tourney not just the division.

boston every thing you said is true, and thats why i worded it"to call yourself a world champ, you must beat all comers".so i do agree with ya.the only world championships i believe can call themselves are that any of the world cup sports.

outfield, been there done that for those levels(i play AAA at this moment),had my most fun there.

tomar no prol,i can laugh at myself(shut-up dennis)when i've stepped in it,just didn't know how to say it.

Hey, I am and can call me, myself and I a WORLD CHAMP as I can go out anyday and score over 100 at Woodbridge Golf CLub. I am hard to beat. And also play AA and AAA, never played Major, bet it would be fun though.

I have played this Senior game for 7yrs now, BEST TIME of my life, with my friends from Dayton,Ohio and a few guys from surrounding states. I've been BLESSED to play with some very talented guys at the AA/AAA level in these 7yrs. I'll also mention the TREMENDOUS Friendships I've had the pleasure to make with guys and ladies all over the EAST coast to Phoenix and California...Fran/Terry,SSWC etc...

I take "GREAT OFFENSE" to the comments from, I assume from a M+ player...who chooses to snub his nose at the AA level!!!! I have a number of friends that play 55M+ and 60M+..not one time have I ever been looked down upon due to the team I play with, Dayton Legends 50s/55s. from my friends at the higher levels. It's always.."how u guys doing..best to u guys" and back at them!!! It's RESPECT...

Frankly, winning at the M+ level or at the AA level is NO DIFFERENT...u do it with ur friends..a great weekend of fun, laughter, sweat, some blood along the way..a few muscle pulls, raise a few drinks of ur favorite beverage, etc....u did it as a group of guys u care about...U CAN"T BUY IT or CHARGE IT ON A CREDIT CARD

So, Mad Dog/60's ..say what u will..it's ur right, I totally disagree with every thing u've said about the AA level and what u think it means as LOW LEVEL...I wouldn't trade my 7yrs of "memories with my friends" for all of the awards u may have attained at ur M+ level...

U can choose to blast away here...it's ur right!

MY hats off to all the guys and gals who choose to play the "LEVEL of their choice" and enjoy the time with their friends!

In most cases its not where we WANT to play its where our skill levels allow us to play. Not everyone is a 6'4" 225Lb athelete, some of us havent age that well or maybe never had those attributes. We generally play softball because we love the game, friendships will usually follow keeping us together.
I enjoy watching the divisions above AAA play, their skill levels are very apparently different on a gradual level from Major to Upper Major +.
I have no illusions about being unable to play competitivly against the upper M+ teams. And that is why we have 4 divisions, so those without equal skills can compete with others of similar ability.

jerry no blasting,just saying.......

i have played in all the levels as i said and never gave it a thought that any AA team i played on could beat a M+ team.yes i had tons of fun playing with those teams and had great comradeship with them.

E4/E6 also it can be where you live as to what level you get to play.i know that is my dilemma, min of a 150 miles for the nearest team for me to play with.and than only a couple of div's as we have not that many teams.
