on other softball boards i'm on,they(staff/mods) can delete the posts that don't stay on topic, what about doing that here ssusa,if someone refuses to stay on topic get rid of that post.
also how about an ignore button so we can read a thread and not see people who are the thread jackers.

I brought up this same exact topic in an email to SSUSA over a month ago when they deleted I had started about the upcoming chages in 1.20 bats.

1) They need to move to a more modern message board platform. It's a change that's sorely needed & would give them the flexibility to do the things you describe.

2) They need to ban repeat offenders & not delete threads. I really don't understand how threads can be removed for bad behavior yet the offenders are still around to do it again!

Well, I think that they're comfortable with this format although it's ancient in technology terms. Switching to a more updated platform would require an investment of time & learning.

My frustration lies in the pattern of purposeful sabotaging of threads when opinion/sentiment doesn't go the way certain individuals want it to. It has certainly reduced my participation on this board. These are my first posts since my email.

FTR..... My first email was responded to by SSUSA but my follow-up, which brought up the issue of moving to a newer platform, was never responded to.....

The name calling is a little ridiculus at times! It seems that the culprits could be banned from this site...Just a thought not a sermon....
