After all is said and done
more is said than done.
Ain't it the truth.

Don't blame any of us for cutting
the whole thread.
That's not our doing, desire
or prerogative.

And that thread was heading
for positive resolution, too.
Gotta believe guys,
get involved,
spend the time.
Be there or be square.

Staff, Why was the thread closed. It seemed to me that we where on a good trend after we got over the BS. Thanks Harry

We WERE heading to a good place,
Harry.
You are right.

Let's assume the best for their motivation and say they didn't realize
the thread was doing well.

Let's assume they might say
they don't have time or inclination
to monitor the website and that
it's just not that important to them
in their scheme of things.

I think the potential for "GOOD"
of this website
is unlimited and have said so
numerous times.
The oppty to develop the relationship
between the senior community
and SSUSA via editorials, columns,
voting, polling, tutorials
is an EDUCATOR's dream.
And community is furthered if not grounded by it's water hole,
the place where all the animals have to come together and then socialize, communicate and grow.
The web-site is/could be that water hole
and bring on a Renaissance of cultural
development and well being
in the SSUSA/Senior softball community.

Your thought on the DREAM, is just that, a dream.
Having a say does not exist, but they do read it. As well as edit it. Both good and bad.
Softball will survive as will this site.

I got you, Scott and reality does
support your skepticism
but you never know when an idea's
time comes along.
God knows we all need hope and can certainly use the help.
But, here's the kicker.
In true win-win situations everybody's gains.
I see this union being an advertizer's
dream, for one entity
and the oppty for generating
lots more relationships and income.

Shouldn't have gone that far. Another soap opera.

einstein,
Win win situations will only come about when assn's AND players have an honest say in how the the game (rules, equip, etc.) will be played.
It used to be this way but it is no longer the case.
Sure every now and then one assn will do this or that, & maybe one thing, but when it comes to game time, look who you play... maybe one or two others on bottom end or if lucky a full bracket. Ratings are another complaint from most as well.
But it is what it\they are.
as I posted something like this before, put up and play or shut up and stay away.

Hey Harry.
You raised a great question
many of us have and find valid
and if SSUSA doesn't feel the need
to respond on the site regarding
their policies they can
and should be emailed and messaged to know and eventually get our concerns
and needs.

Joe, If they close a thread then they are reading the board. I just wish the winter was offer in the east and I can get back to playing. I do believe that all the rest is just BS. Lets tee it up and play. Thanks Harry

birdie,
Yes they read it. likely every post too.
I've had a 1-2 disappear lately for some unknown reason but that's ok.
Off hand I believe when you get one deleted you might receive a email about that, but not always.
I know Joe knows that.
Only thing that bothers me on it is some good info is lost, but i agree in that it would be harder to delete specific ones over the whole thing. IE time consuming at least.
Some posts lately, went too far.

It would be fairer to determine
the offenders, Scott and block them
from posting.
This would sent the right message to the offender and the whole group
that someone is watching, cares
and is unafraid to act in behalf
of defined, accepted standards
and in the best
interest of the senior community.

einstein,
Sometimes simplicity takes away form the laughter within. lol
But I also believe DD have much better & more important things to worry about than selective editing.
Far easier to ignore that to contribute to nothingness.
