Softball in the naples area?
Hello all,,,,I'm headed down from Michigan to Florida for two weeks (Jan. 15-29)and looking for pickup games in the Naples area. I was at Veterans Park last year and played with some really good players.. I would like to find as much as I can while I'm there. Thanks and have a great holiday season!

The leagues at Veterans park are now playing at NORTH COLLIER park till Jan 18. Veterans is being upgraded. Pickup games are played on Sunday 9am at the park and Wed at the High School. Just go to the park during league play and get more information.

GB are you playing down there at Veterens Park. I met Joey P. last year and was thinking if I could be a sub for the Tues. Thurs. leagues. I can't seem to get through at their zoom share site. Thanks BW

B-DUD, Not playing this winter. Played last year. They don't have subs, players not on the original team are put on a waiting list and then called when a team has a opening. You might contact the league President, his name is Ron Bluestein, his e-mail address is pelicanrm@aol.com. thanks GB

I was down at Marco Island last March, and the day I was leaving I passed a field where a bunch of seniors were playing. I was surprised to see that many guys playing on an island as small a Marco. I think it was a Saturday, and I wanted to stop for a few minutes, but the wife wouldn’t hear of it. She has no sense of humor.

Looks like I found some pickup games in the Punta Gorda area on Monday And Thursday. Long drive from Lely but willing to drive if it's good.. Anyone playing up there in the morning or at night? Thanks again.

Is it true that it will cost me 64 bucks to fly with my checked in softball bat?

B-DUB--depends who you are flying with. SWA does not charge for 1st two bags. other airlines like $22-30.
