| Jan. 12, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Hey Jim, we will play if it is at least 50 degrees. Do not know if that is warm enough for the bats. I do want to see one for myself, thanks and get well soon. |

| Jan. 16, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | The ball is great and carries well in this park. |
| Jan. 16, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Joe, you are on the rosters for Tom and Bubba. Both are in the tourney; which one will you be playing for on the 26th? |
| Jan. 16, 2011 hombre Men's 60 215 posts | If anyone needs a player for this tournament, I would like to play and am currently playing 60 AAA. I'm an outfielder, but can play infield and pitch in a pinch. I have good speed and pop. I still play with the kids locally. 423 508 2995 or ombre@comcast.net Thanks, Jim |
| Jan. 17, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | Steve you know I have to spread myself around. One is a 60major team and the other is 55AAA team. The softball gods are looking over me I hope I can pull it off. I hope to see you at the tourney. |
| Jan. 17, 2011 hitman Men's 60 281 posts | Wes, I have posted a separate thread on the difference in the REEBOKS. If you have any questions after reading the thread let me know. I will not be in Jacksonville in February due to recovering from back surgery. I do have some stock left on the balanced models and will be getting more balanced and endloaded when the next shipment arrives. Thanks, The Hitman |
| Jan. 17, 2011 DoubleL10 Men's 65 767 posts | Joe, are both teams going to run you to the outfield? That's one of the good things I enjoy about playing 50s - I get out of the outfield and play 1B and let the "young" stallions run in the pasture! |
| Jan. 17, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Dble10, if Joe gets his way, he will EH for both! |
| Jan. 17, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | Larry Steve is right most of the time. If I play with the 55's I try to play outfield a little each game. But normally I play 4 or 5 innings. With the 60 Wild Bunch last year I played pretty much in the out field. Some times it's hard to get enough outfielders. I hope I get lucky this year and theirs plenty of outfielders on each team. I hope to see you Larry at the TOC. |
| Jan. 17, 2011 Airbosn Men's 65 314 posts | Joe, Is that what you call "Playing the outfield". Could fooled me...LOL, See ya in the TOC. |
| Jan. 18, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | Well Lenny you know I'm a AA player and a very lucky guy that Tom and Bubba let me play at a higher level of softball. See ya'll around the park and pass a good time. |
| Jan. 21, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Due to our senior tourney being held in conjunction with another tourney(youngsters) at Green Springs, I will have to limit total teams to 12. I have 4 spots left. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks |
| Jan. 27, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | 2 other teams have been in contact; will let me know in a few days if they will be able to attend. TWO MORE OPENINGS! |
| Jan. 30, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Please Note: Catchers are welcome at this tournament! |
| Jan. 30, 2011 Tater50 325 posts | That is such a relief!!! |
| Jan. 30, 2011 mad dog Men's 60 3803 posts | damn wish i lived closer, the dang kids think i'm to old now along with being fat and slow......:(:( |
| Jan. 30, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Mad Dog, we are too old to be worrying about so much stuff in and around senior softball, right?! Egos just do not seem to diminish with some no matter what the age range. I love the competitiveness; it helps us stay young, focused, active. But isn't it somewhat disturbing that softball seems to be the center of life for some. For me, it is just the opposite--an escape. My wife has cancer problems, just found out a few months back that she has rheumatoid arthritis and other health needs. My daughter has divorced. Her daughter (my granddaughter) needs a kidney transplant. My ex son-in-law will be donating his kidney and I may have to nurse-maid him for a month! I love to play softball; don't care what the score is; don't care that I am old, fat, and slow! |
| Jan. 31, 2011 mad dog Men's 60 3803 posts | i'm with ya southpaw,i just sometimes just want to sell all my softball gear and not play anymore.my only time i do enjoy playing is my 1 senior league i have to play in here. good luck with everything and i hope it all turns out ok for ya.. |
| Jan. 31, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Thanks Mad Dog; hope I did not come across as a little too melodramatic. Just really trying to say that there is a perspective that we all need to keep. That does not always appear to be the case with some of the input. That's why I had rather do something a bit silly. As far as your well-wishes, they are greatly appreciated. It is all in the Lord's hands; He is in control. |
| Feb. 7, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | just updating, a couple of teams called over the weekend. |
| Feb. 8, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | 9 teams are committed; 2 others called yesterday and will advise soon. One opening left. |
| Feb. 9, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | Steve you know from the pass when you have good balls + good bats = great time at the ball park. I'll hit one for you this weekend. Take care. |
| Feb. 9, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Is this Cajun Joe or that other Joe from the left coast?! Just kidding. Good luck at the TOC, Joe. I am sure you will hit several. See you in Bham on the 26th. Please keep fingers crossed for good weather. |
| Feb. 15, 2011 southpaw Men's 60 648 posts | Just updating. 69 degrees this past Sunday! |
| Feb. 18, 2011 leftyfalcon Men's 65 134 posts | Steve you better start looking up for help for right now it doesn't look good for next Sat. 60% chance of rain. |
