Mario,
Sorry to say but no they will not be making the MM Gear 2 in the 10 inch barrell. The new model will come in the raditional 12 inch barrel. Either endloaded or balanced. I am taking pre-orders now. If you get it pre-ordered you will be one of the first to recieved the new model. There is a good chance I might bring some down to the T.O.C. Not for sure though. I hope this helps. Good Luck in the upcoming season.

Big Dawg, You tell Bernard to keep on hitting em. We Tarheels have to stay together. Give me a shout when you get the chance. I am a firm believer that the man up above swings left handed. That's what Craig Elliott use to tell me. He said he wished he would have been born lefthanded. Ha! Ha!

As I aid I am hoping to have some in my hands at that time. If I do I will definitely let players know what fields I will be at. Usually I am at one field while Corky is at another field with the Miken truck. I will try and keep you posted.

once more, put down your mikens, reeboks and worths, get the Combat Senior! Nothing beats the sound of a broken in combat, that "shotgun" sound is great. Best bat for your money and no I don't work for combat:)

Time will tell if the durability and pop is there.
The hype isn't always what its said to be about many bats.
The Grey Combat is a great one.

I have used ALL of the bats out there,If you can not get a "old" Miken with 2000 ASA stickers on it, go with the Combat. I started using the yellow senior and OH MY, what pop it has. I am looking forward to getting the new one and get it broken in.

Is the new blue MM Combat the exact same bat as the older yellow model? For those who have switched from Miken to combat were the swing weights pretty close? How would you compare the sweet spot on a MM Combat compared to a U2? As you can tell I am thinking of making a change.

Thanks:

James

JamesLG, if you swing a 28 Bal Miken, i would go with a 27 Bal Combat. Thats just me,i think they are off a little.
An Gary19, 350 I want it in the road on field #1,besides the chicks love the long ball.

Yes the new Blue MM Gear 2 is the same bat as the yellow one. The reason for the changes is the new 1.21 spec that the SSUSA wants stamped on the senior bats. So we designed a new graphic and color and away we go again. As far as sweet spots. To me any senior bats that are 10 inches or longer the whole length of the barrel is the sweet spot. Once really broken in I would say the real hot spot would be 6 to 8 inches. If I understand correct any bat that is developed since the SSUSA convention needs to have 1.21 BPF on the bat. All the senior bats of the past are still legal but they want to be able to seperate the bats from the 1.20 bats. Specifically the USSSA bats. I hope this helps. Hey Bruce does the new Reebok have the 1.21 on it. I have yet to see one in person. Anyway I hope this helps.

Mike the new Reebok does have the 1.21 BPF.marking. The yellow Combat is my all time favorite. I broke my last 2 and am waiting to get my hands on the new blue one. If mama is willing, I'll definitely buy one at Curt's CST.

I would not waste my time calling Evil Sports. Bobby doesn't have any Combat MM's in stock. He doesn't warehouse the bats. They get dropped shipped from Anaconda. Believe me he doesn't have any. I wish he did. I might have to buy one myself. After all the dust settles I only have one good one for myself. The new Blue MM Gear 2 will be here soon. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, you can't go wrong with the new Blue Combat since it's the same design as the yellow one. Mike's a great guy to work with. I ordered 2 Yellow ones back in 2009, one crack this past season, with well over 1500 hits. It broke my heart! That was my MONEY BAT! The Gray one takes a little longer to break in, but is the most durable Senior bat on the Market.(in my opinion)The yellow I think has the most POP!
