Oct. 13, 2005 STONEMAN Men's 50 535 posts | STEVE: The town was Centerreach. Bruce, was a 4 time small college All-American wide reciever in the late 60's. Bruce, played for many semi-pro teams, back on the east coast. I believe that Bruce, plays softball & wears a hard hat, when playing. Mike, a.k.i., the hood & zippi, was a 2 time All-American middle linebacker, in the early 70's.Mike, was a teach back on Long Island. The 55 M. Plus, if, game was won by the old Fregies, Remco, TRC, out of Maryland. The final score was 59 to 44. The Flordia All-Star, took 2ND. The All-Stars won the championship game 44 to 39. TRC, did not score a run in the 5th & 6th inning. Thanks.... The STONEMAN |

Oct. 17, 2005 barko34 19 posts | Stoneman Bruce Cerone played left center with the Levittown Legion back in the mid '70s to early '80s. He now lives somewhere in Florida. Used to wear a helmet with "Spaceman" on it. Used to be a whiz at taking away homers on an 8 to 10 foot fence. I remember playing/coaching against Denamark in the late '70s but don't remember which team he played for. Stevie-Sandy Brown would probably have the answer to that one. BTW, on the Phoenix trip, ask John Davide about the ball he hit in Baldwin, back around '77 or so, where Cerone climbed the fence only to have the ball take one of those "Davide dips" and land on the warning track. Only time I ever saw Bruce look bad. Steve Barkan |
