lvssa--uusas sept/oct tournaments
i understand that the LVSSA has most las vegas fields reserved for their oct 1- oct 3 tournament, leaving SSUSA to go find fields elsewhere, like HENERSON,NV. since most everybody likes to hang around the strip or downtown, this could affect which association we will play with. this is an interesting situation, we have to wait and see how this plays out. might also be interesting how much the fees are for both associations.

How far is Henderson from LV? Do you think the hotels will be better/worse and more/less expensive. How about the fields, are they better or worse than the ones in LV?
I think we are planning on playing in the SSUSA National.

I believe Henderson is on the way out to Hoover Dam. Not too far. In fact, it shouldn't be too difficult to stay on the Strip or Downtown even if you play in Henderson. Might be a little difficult to run back and forth between games.

Armyho211, I have played all over Las Vegas and the best fields I have come across are the fields in Henderson. Henderson is about 15 to 20 minuts off the strip, it is a suburb of Las Vegas and is a nice place to stay and play. We will be playing with SSUSA in Las Vegas I think they will have better teams and the umpires will be SSUSA\ISA umpires not a mix of umpires that I experienced last year at the LVSSA. I understand that SSUSA has fields at Cheyenne Complex which has just been remolded which should be nice. That complex is also 15 to 20 minutes off the strip. Hope this helps you and good luck in Las Vegas at both the fields and the tables.

Henderson is great - Sunset Station is a super locals casino with some good eats. But I have a question on the dates.

Am I right when I look at tournaments for end of year and see 60's dates are same for both SSWC and LVSSA ? And, am I also right when I see 65's dates are the same for LVSSA and Huntsman. Have not looked real close but it appears LVSSA could gain by putting 65's where they have 60's and 65's would be OK for all three. Seems a shame that both 60's and 65's will have to make a choice of which to play and which to skip.
