Warm up tourney for Reno May 7th at the Canyons in St. George
We are hosting a warm-up exhibition style tournament at Canyons Park in St. George, Utah on May 7th. It will be a one day, 4 game guarantee tournament with a $250 entry fee +sanction. SSUSA pitching rules, 5 home runs per game with walks after the 5 (runners must be forced). Teams will be allowed to bring three players who are 2 years younger than the age bracket they are playing in. 60 min time limits + open inning.

This is a great opportunity to work on things before going to Reno and a chance to play at one of the nicest parks in the country.

Winning teams in each division of this tournament will receive half their entry fee back as well as new dri-fits or pullovers. Second place to get team shirts or hats.

My name is Cliff Hansen and I play in the 50 major division with the Southwest Legends out of Las Vegas. Half of my team rolls out of Utah.

I have been involved with softball for over 30 years and believe in bringing the best possible venue for the players that I can. I originally umpired for Rocky Mann's Senior World's in Las Vegas many years ago. Back in the days when they didn't have divisions, only age level play.

What I am trying to do with these tournaments is to have them right before some of the major events around the Southwest. Teams can come in, work on things that they would rather not work on during a "National" tournament. Try out new players, work different positions, get extra swings in, etc. Our game is designed toward the offense, thats why I don't have extra home runs being outs (they are considered walks after you hit five).

I also allow each age group to bring in 3 players 2 years younger than their age bracket. This helps us to bring new talent into the sport. This works very well in the 40 and 50 year old divisions.

For this warm-up tournament I have 2 40+ teams interested in playing but I wont have them in the tournament unless I have 4 teams in the division. Any 40+ teams interested in playing contact me at the number listed above.

Wes Tallon, Robinson Transport, and anyone else in the Utah or other area, come on down and play. We look forward to hearing from you.

I have 4 60's and 2 50's, teams already signed up for this tournament and many others considering attending. This will be a great one day event that should have great weather and in an area where the whole family can attend also.

I am looking for a minimum of 4 teams in each division.

Winners get half of the entry back and a uniform piece (hat, dry fits or pullovers, your choice)

Does anyone have a number to reach the Jaxx and Mountain Men senior teams in Utah?
