Is there ever an appropriate "timing" of the death of family member, let alone one's parent? I am certainly not aware of any. Sylvia, may your mother rest in peace and know that the teams prayers are with you and your family. |
April 15, 2011 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | Infielder: It's tough to balance the Privacy concerns of affected individuals with the posting membership's almost insatiable desire to be told the specific reason(s) there has been a change in a tournament schedule, especially a change that occurs at the proverbial last minute. If history is any indicator, the posters here have a tendency to jump to the wrong conclusions when a team withdraws. There is no better reason than respect for the passing of someone close to a team. Our statement about timing had to do solely with the timing of the schedule changes, and nothing at all with the timing of a person's demise. We extend our deepest sympathies to all concerned and wish you well during this emotional and trying period. |
