Women's 50's Significant Revisions
If I were an outsider reading your thread, I would think the team should have known they couldn't play this tourney due to lack of players or last minute backing out, by your statement "Due to the late timing on this team withdrawal" and "Due to the withdrawal of a Women's 50+ team (Sassy Sisters) on Friday morning. Is there ever an appropriate "timing" of the death of family member, let alone one's parent? I am certainly not aware of any. Sylvia, may your mother rest in peace and know that the teams prayers are with you and your family.

Infielder: It's tough to balance the Privacy concerns of affected individuals with the posting membership's almost insatiable desire to be told the specific reason(s) there has been a change in a tournament schedule, especially a change that occurs at the proverbial last minute. If history is any indicator, the posters here have a tendency to jump to the wrong conclusions when a team withdraws. There is no better reason than respect for the passing of someone close to a team. Our statement about timing had to do solely with the timing of the schedule changes, and nothing at all with the timing of a person's demise. We extend our deepest sympathies to all concerned and wish you well during this emotional and trying period.
