Cracked my new blue combat today
I got new blue combat from Mike at the TOC. Spider webbed in 10 swings and though that was pretty fast. 75 to a 100 swings later she broke. Temp was 75 and not hard softballs. 375/44cor. Maybe I just baught a bad one from Mike. Don't plan on buying another blue one. My yellow one is still going stong and I've been having it for 2 years.

Lefty,

How can a bat that has been "raved on here" break.
If it had been another brand it would have been assaulted by many.
Just goes to show how perception is always part of the problem.
See you in Pensacola.
BTW the new REEBOK's are not breaking.

Murray,
Hope you sent it back for a return as Reebok has warrantied/replaced all of the early failures because they discoved a manufacturing anomaly on the ones that broke.
Let me correct that except for the ones that were shaved/cut.

hitman maybe it is b/c this is a rare occurrence that a combat bat breaks this early.i have owned(and still do) many combats and only had one crap out early(approx 200-300 swings)on me another died of old age(over 1k swings on it).i still have the first one i ever bought(oct 07).i don't use it as much now b/c it is a balanced bat(26 oz) and i have moved to the end-loaded ones, but it still has well over 500 swings on it and shows no sign of letting go.
i think lefty got one of those anomaly's your talking about from combat.

Hitman,

I sent mine back about 2 weeks ago. Have to wait 30 days for the lone inspector of broken bats to get back from China.

If Mike doesn't reply and make it right (he reads this board), then you know you just as well have bought an Ultra .You don't have to question the performance of Miken, just the durability which you didn't recieve from the Combat.

Mike got me the RA# yesterday. So I'll ship the blue combat today. Hopefully I'll get another thanks to Mike. I guess everyone thinks the Gorilla Boy just sales Combat because they named a bat after him. He works for Andaconda Sports and sales every bat out their. Even the Reebok. He sales all the Senior Bats and if you want to buy one give him a call. Great Guy. By the way I do have a yellow and gray combat an have well over 300 swings with them.

Looks like it's going to take 1 month to 3 months before I'll find out about the bat. Looks like they are slowing it down. So I can forget about getting me another one. If a new combat cracks your just out of luck. My bad luck I baught one that didn't get that for with hits. Oh well life goes on. ya'll pass a good time. Thanks for trying Mike.

Joe, waiting 1 to 3 months is ridiculous. These bat companies have gotten totally out of hand. Customer service is a thing of the past. The only company that seems to act quickly on a return is Miken. I've sent them two bats, with legit receipts, and they replaced both within two weeks. Hope to you guys in Marietta.

Lefty, So you sent the bat off to Combat and have been waiting for at least a month and no response? My bat broke a couple of weeks ago. Thinking about sending it back but???????

Lefty, I do apologize for the incovience. I have not heard that it took that long to get the bat back. I will check into it first thing today and see what I can find out and get back to you. 1 month to 3 months just doesn't sound right but I have heard crazier things. Like I said I will look into it. Thanks.
