Just curious on the Winter Nationals field conditions.
This was the second time in five years that when we played in Ft. Myers, we played at the Northwest Sports complex. Has anyone out there experienced any knee or leg injuries due to the enormous amount of lose sand in the IF and around the bases??!! It is not only bad enough to have the U II's but the lose ground, to me, just does not cut it. Thanks........

In the 6 games we played at the NW complex there were 4 or 5 falls due to inadiquite footing.

I'm glad you brought this up. I have never had a knee problem in my life. My left knee gave out rounding first in our fourth game and I couldn't continue. As a result I missed the last four games of the tournament.

Bob and Bruce, thanks so much for the response. I have only played on that field complex twice, once with the ISA four years ago and now. Both times I have torn the cartilage in my right knee trying to plant my foot and release a throw from second base on a double play ball. I saw the squad at the complex a few times and I was wondering. I actually may have hurt me knee when we played your team Bob......Larry (Combs Garage & Body Shop)
