Dalton predictions : Whose yours?
I will make Smiths Laminating an 8-5 morning line favorite in the 50 Major...... In the 50 Major Plus , the odds makers consenses at 2-1,with a "new look"for 2011,is the awesome Ohio,Kentucky,Indiana (OKI)Players...... Now for the 60 Major, look for Jim & Joes to make a strong run to get their picture taken. They are battle tested ,having played against younger teams all season & won their share of games. They are more than ready to play teams their age for the 1st time this season.....In the 60 Major Plus heat, who could bet against Turn-Two & if you did,you must not like money. Look for them to be in the winners circle.....Dream game , Smith's vs OKI,Would love to see that ,but it wont be anytime soon...The Greek

Once again in 50 Majors got to go with Rapid Erectors. The west is the best. Why are the Kansas City Barons being allowed to play down?

Too many good teams in 50 Major to make a pick. In the 60 Major I'll put my $$ on The Wild Bunch.
The best news is that the high for Friday through Sunday will be 84 degrees here in Metro Atlant!!! Dalton should be even cooler.

Should be some great softball played in Dalton.

In the 50 Major would like to see Kittrell's, Southern Elite and Randy Smith make some noise. Three good teams that if they get hot should do well.

In the 55 Major + Line Drive Sportz should do well with Patty Mac and Gary Deaton leading the way.

In 60 Major the Wild Bunch is loaded. Can these guys put it together this weekend? Surely as talented as any 60 Major group around.

Lets see how the east/west battles shake out.

The Baden Fire Balls should be flying!!!!

Wish I were there! I've already gotten a report that the teams are pretty evenly matched and it should be a great tournament. And the weather is good as opposed to last year when it was HOT and HUMID! Good luck to all!

The Wild Bunch had better turn their hats around tomorrow. They lost two today.
Turn 2 won their first game 31-30 and were down by 4 or 5 runs in the 4th to Rose Ent when I left.

Just want to say good luck to all the teams in the 60 majors; we really wanted to show up this year but we had some issues that could not be resolved -- maybe next year. Look forward to seeing the final results.

jimjoes-gman, The Texas Makulis have improved a lot as the season has worn on. They added a couple of very good players this year - one after the season started and have played very well the last couple of months.

Please keep Clay Stephens their RCF in your prayers; his wife suffered a heart attack recently and Clay is at home with her.

Mad dog,

I wish you would have come over and introduced yourself, i play third base for Master Collision. It's no surprise that The Wild Bunch is doing well, sometimes teams can not get all their players to the tournament for the bracket games and this one started on a Thursday. The Texas team is a good team with a great bunch of guys, we always seem to play very well against them. Hope to get a chance to meet you in Phoenix.

After Saturday I believe that Rapid Erectors was still undefeated. Returning in the losers bracket are Veltri and Randy Smith. I'm not sure if any other losers are returning. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
This is one of the most competitive tournaments I've ever played in.

I got a text from Mike Cuellar of the Texas Silverbacks 50 Major. Said that Rapid Erectors from Denver gave them a loss late Saturday. They won their first game today in the 7th. They won their 2nd game in the 7th and then double dipped Rapid Erectors this afternoon to win championship.I got Mike a new Reebok Melee on Friday in time for his 2nd game. He hit 13 out with it. Congratulations to the Silverback and to Rapid Erectors!

The reason we the KC Barons got dropped is because we suck. We got the number 1 seed and then went out showed why we got it. With 2 quick ugly losses. I was wondering if there is any levels below AA? On a side note I hope the pitcher for the Metro Stars is alright. I hit him with a line drive Friday. He said he was OK, but we all know how the next day can be. I am sorry I did not try to hit you and I hope you are doing well.

Brian, isn't it strange how we can do so well or not in pool play then do just the opposite in de play???
Another example is Randy Smith, seeded what, 16 or 17 and then make it to Sunday!!!

Randy Smith beat us like we stole something. But we just haven't come together as a team at all this year. To many injures and lack of commitment can crush a team. But in a couple of weeks we will be right back at it. Good luck the rest of the year Bruce!

Any one know about the 50 major plus winner or the 60 major plus winner ? SPA was doing a good job of updating on Thur & Fri & then they just Quit. OKI was up 2-0 on the best 3 of 5. Turn Two & Rose were tied 2-2.

We squeaked out a victory. Florida beat us pretty bad two games in a row and then we won another close one 30-24 I think. It was sad that our division and the 50 division had to play the best 3 out of 5 with no one else to play.
It was a great tourney and hope everyone got home safe.

Donnie, Congrats on your hard-fought win! It is a shame that you had to pay full price to play a best 3 of 5 against one other team and not get to play anyone else in the preliminary games. That's the big reason I had more fun the last 2 years playing Major. Now that I'm 65 and playing Major Plus again, we are back to the same-old-same-old. Locally, no one in our age group wants to play us - we usually play the Texas Legends 65 team and most other teams they put against us simply refuse to play with no penalty other than a loss. We get screwed out of games and our sponsor gets NO money back for less games. I may just drop back down next year and play 60 Major again to have a bunch of teams to play against at the Nationals. And, play 65 M+ occasionally in Nationals that are worth it.

Larry,
We did get to play 5 games but against the same team. I would have rather won it in three but when you don't hit you get beat.
They will not let us play the 55 majors. How is this fair? In R.B.'s tourney we were forced to play the 55 major plus in Salem and Manassas last year and that is not fun playing guys that might be close to 5-9 years younger. At least in the 55 major we would have a chance to maybe win a couple of games.
Good luck
Has R.B. told you guys who you will be playing against in Manassas?

Donnie, On RB's Registered Teams page, we are shown as 65 Major. There are currently 6 65-AAA teams shown and no other 65 Major or Major Plus. We do not know who we will be playing yet in Manassas but I would not be surprised if it isn't the 60 Major teams of which there are 6 shown.
It makes NO sense to me why you guys don't get to play 55 Majors. As you said, you are spotting 5-9 years to younger guys. To me, that should be the equalizer. If an individual can drop down and play in a lower age group and one skill level lower, I don't know why the same logic doesn't apply to a team.

I have been saying for years on here to do away with the 55 age group in M+ and go to age 50-57 and 58-64. Someone tell why this would not work and get more teams in these Tourney's.
