I have had mine for 6 weekks and the ball flies off the bat...line drives too hot too handle...HR's 30 feet further than my u trip bat. Played with kids this weekend hit several HR over 350'. Dont't know how compaares to Ultra....all I knoww it explodes off this bat. I'M 62 and hitting with kids....there threating to have me tested.

Based on my reps., which is 500, I would highly recommend this bat.

I'm just getting back into softball, played in two touraments and only have seen one other combat...talked to the guy and he loved his. Seems most guys are using the Ultra's, it would be nice to get some feedback from guys that have used both.

Also the durability on the Combat is to be determined and the Ultra's seem to go around 200 hits, based on what I have read.

sunshine if the black combat(centenarian)is as durable as the older gray ones then they'll be out lasting the mikens easily.one guy on our senior team has been using the black all season with no prol yet.

Lefty: may check with PattyMac; think he knows about this bat. Maybe Perly, PMac's friend could elaborate on this!!

How are you buddy?
The Centenarian is a very good bat but will crack if used too much
just like any other senior bat.
I have 30 oz I like a lot and see many more being used
all the time.
A very good bat.

I'm starting to feel much better. Angles don't hurt anymore and from the seed emplant I had put in at the end of Feb.. I'm not hitting my norm yet. that will come soon. But I hit everyday and it gets better and better. Suppose to play with a pretty good Major 60 team next year. New team. Sorry I missed you at the Dalton tourney. With the seeds and work couldn't make it. Man did it kill me not going. Love that tourney. I see your having fun on this site. keep on with the good balls and good bats.

leftyfalcon glad to hear you're feeling better. I've heard some talk about the new 60 Major group from our area. You guys should be scary good.

Combat sent Patty Mac three Centenarian prototypes when they were developing the bats and two after they went on the market. We hit these bats a bunch and they are really good bats with pop and decent durability. We don't see many of these in Florida, Alabama, Georgia area and I think it's because the Reebok has taken off around here and giving the Ultra II a run for the money.

As you know, what feels good in your hands and what you believe gives you the best pop/distance is what you're going to swing. I see the Reebok and Ultra being neck and neck with the Centenarian being a step behind. JMO

Keep swinging

Mad Dog I don't know yet. If I do I'll have to play 55AAA. I didn't go with the Wild Bunch 60Major team to Dalton. I got the seeds put in for postrate cancer late Feb. And july was one of the months I was feeling weak from the seeds. I believe I'm over that now. Hit today and I was feeling pretty good. Close to normal. Makes me happy. I baught the reissued Utrip Senergy for a $100. This is a good bat. You can get it on Directsports.com. I use to live in Lufkin not for from your neck of the woods. We might see each other again next. Pass A Good Time For Me.

I purchased a Centenarian a few months back. have a hundred fifty swings or so on it, 50 of them out of a bucket, does not hit like the black ultra at all but has already outlived it, which is why I bought it hoping it would last, so far so good, very happy with the performance, as for me it still hits 330ft or so and thats plenty, I would recommend this bat, I know a lot of big guys have good luck not breaking the Mikens but I just dont have any luck keeping them together, hope this helps with your decision.

I just bought a Centenarian 27 oz full load used, feel good and good pop. The guy that sold it to me like the Reebok EL better and gave it to me for a good price. I hit some good shots and the ball jumps. Great buy for the price I paid. Now lets see how long this one stays around in my bag before I crack it. Because it will KRACK sooner or later. They ALL do.

Do not get this bat, there are a lot of seniors bats out there that are better.
The bat will last, but other bats have better pop.

Come on MD, I have tested this bat and it came in last of all the bats I've tested
if this bat is as good as the mikens, and reebok and lest longer like you say, then how come you don't see them when you go to tournaments?

MD,
not talking about your team, all the tournaments I have been too I have seen only 3 from the start of the year, if this bat is as good as you say, I think I would see a lot more.

like i said some of the other teams in dallas are using them.i do think that a lot of players have bought into the miken mystique and don't want to try another bat.i was for a long time,i had 7 of the ASA stamped u-2's at one time.i went and bought a combat b/c the u-2's were 27 oz(as that was the lightest they used to come in) and got the combat b/c i could get one in 26 oz which i like to swing.well fell in love with the combat and have been swinging them ever since(2007).i also bought a reebok at the beginning of the summer i like, and it looks like it will be my gamer from now on.
