| Aug. 8, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | St. Louis Tournament August 20-21 I was just wondering who are all the Major Plus teams going to this tournament in the 50 division? |
| Aug. 8, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | We, OKI Softball will be there. |
| Aug. 8, 2011 RIK56 Men's 50 117 posts | mario good chance you will be the only one. |
| Aug. 8, 2011 mad dog Men's 60 3803 posts | hey mario,congrats by the way on your usssa win. |
| Aug. 8, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Thanks, mad dog. We played well as a team again. Both offense and defense. |
| Aug. 8, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | We've been told by the tourney director that there were 4 other teams that were going to be in our division. Just wondering who they will be. |
| Aug. 8, 2011 RIK56 Men's 50 117 posts | this is just a guess but i would say the team i play for 50 caliber will be one, coorslight is another, maybe springfield wingstop, and not sure if the barons are playing that could be the other team. |
| Aug. 9, 2011 JohnBob Men's 60 232 posts | Smith Laminating a 50M team will be there,as will our Jim & Joe's 60M. I would like to see this Tourney do good because of time of year and its close for us. What about the teams from Indy & KC ? |
| Aug. 9, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | Kansa City Barons will be in St. Louis. |
| Aug. 9, 2011 RIK56 Men's 50 117 posts | there you go mario i think we have the four teams you will be playing, not sure if you have ever played in bridgeton, fields are the best in this area, nice big a/c concession area.harrahs and ameristar casinos 5 mins away,it will be a good tourament.oh and since you guys are major plus leave the senior bats home,we will have wood bats for you to use lol. |
| Aug. 9, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | We'll use what everyone else uses.!!!!lol |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | Mario, I just now saw the brackets for the St. Louis tournament. Did your OKI team drop out at the last minute? |
| Aug. 11, 2011 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | Where did you see the brackets? |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | An e-mail was sent to the managers. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | How many teams in 50 major? Who are they? |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | There are five 50+ major teams: 50 Calibur Coors Light Springfield Wingstop Smith Laminating Kansas City Barons |
| Aug. 11, 2011 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | How many teams in 50 major? Who are they? |
| Aug. 11, 2011 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | Thanks, not sure my question duplicated. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | As far as I know we are supposed to be going. I'm calling our coach right now. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | I just found out that there are no Major plus teams so we will not be going. Bummer!! The above listed teams are the 50 Major teams. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 stick8 1117 posts | Mario are you kidding me? I just made flight reservations yesterday |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | We were looking forward to playing you again. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | No stick, I am not kidding - just found out at about 4pm my time today. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Norm ased Jimmy if he still wanted to go, they would have put us in with the Major division teams, but he did not want to do that. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Brett, I would have loved to play you guys again. But now we don't get to play again until Vegas. |
| Aug. 11, 2011 stick8 1117 posts | Mario I just talked to Norm and he confirmed it. The teams that were entered as major plus got reclassified to major 3 weeks ago. Oh well, gotta wait 7 weeks until Vegas. |
| Aug. 12, 2011 Brett Men's 55 242 posts | FYI - 50 Calibur, Springfield Wingstop, and Smith Laminating have never been rated major plus. Coors light was rerated to major on 02/17/11 and the KC Barons were rerated to major on 07/25/11. |
| Aug. 12, 2011 stick8 1117 posts | Brett in that case I stand corrected. Thank you for the info. That being said I did call the tournament director right after we played SPA and he did tell me there were 4 major plus teams entered and that we would be the fifth. Perhaps he meant major or didn't realize they were only major teams. Either way I'm bummed we're not going. |
| Aug. 12, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | I'm right there with ya stick. Bummed that is..... I just want to play. |
| Aug. 13, 2011 stick8 1117 posts | Mario unless something unforseen comes up I'm sure we'll all be chomping at the bit come Vegas. Hopefully Carl will be ready to go by then. |
| Aug. 13, 2011 Jawood Men's 50 742 posts | Here is another example of a team, OKI, that has played those teams many times in the past that are now moved down to Major for some reason and they don't get to go to a tournament they wanted to participate in. Again, there are not enough teams at the Major-plus level to make it worth while! COMBINE MAJOR AND MAJOR-PLUS! |
| Aug. 15, 2011 stick8 1117 posts | Jawood that's a good case to combine major and major plus. I'd be good with combining the divisions and splitting the difference with the home runs with 1 up and a single after. |
| Aug. 15, 2011 RIK56 Men's 50 117 posts | I agree, get rid of the major plus division. |
| Aug. 15, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | I agree, we should combine the 2 and make the HR's 7 and 1 up and singles afterward. |
| Aug. 16, 2011 CL11AT 6 posts | RIK56, see you sometime Sat. playing golf in the morning with Munch, Johnny and Bobby T. then we're coming to watch for a while. Stick8, was hoping to see you guy's also, but i wouldn't make the trip either with nobody to play. Lazer Larry |
| Aug. 16, 2011 CL11AT 6 posts | Richie didn't you guys get to play in Chitown last weekend. Lazer |
| Aug. 22, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Anybody know who won the Major division in St.Louis last weekend? |
| Aug. 22, 2011 cal50 Men's 50 226 posts | Smith Laminating hit all weekend and won without a loss. 50 Cal second. Coors Light third. |
| Aug. 22, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Congrats to Smiths Laminating on their win in St. Louis. They are a good bunch of guys. |
| Aug. 22, 2011 Gary33 140 posts | Thanks Mario hope to see you at a tournament soon! Haven't decided where to play next. 50 Calibur one of the best teams we've played, they have a lot of heart. |
| Aug. 25, 2011 Mario Men's 50 312 posts | Gary33 you guys going to Vegas or Pheonix? |
