| Aug. 19, 2011 Hit the gap Men's 70 154 posts | I just hit a 677 foot HR Just a little fun here. I've become addicted to the Miken Sports HR Derby game. Does anyone else play this game? My best score is 4309 and longest HR is 677 feet. GO to www.mikensports and click on the HR Derby. |

| Aug. 20, 2011 Omar Khayyam 1357 posts | Hit the Gap, thanks for the referral to the Miken HR Derby game. Lots of fun and potentially addicting. My best shot was 606 (which broke a light tower). I found out that both mad dog and einstein are correct. The ball travelled farther when it was underhit as mad dog claims, and there was the thrill that einstein predicts when I hit the boomer. I strutted around the house a couple of times shouting "oh, yeah, oh, yeah, the chicks are all watching!" Two points though: the umpire called every pitch illegal because the pitcher was throwing overhand and the small print says they are using the 52 ball because it is safer. |

This guy is basically taking on 4/5 of you at all times. This post gets started talking about a video game and Gary C comes on and says "Lively/bats and balls are a must for are video games rolling your controller I do not consider against the rules." Omar states "they are using the 52 ball because it is safer." These are direct attacks on einstein for no reason other than to start some BS. I don't know einstein, I don't always agree with him either, but if 4/5 of you started ganging up on me I'd probably get as defensive as einstein is. Just sayin |

Lots of my friends say they'd come on line to support me if they thought I needed help it but it's obvious to them, too, I don't. Characterless clowns up to no good and SSUSA doesn't want to do anything about them or their standards for disparaging behavior. They appear to have an interest in what's going down. |

I do debate, but usually my tongue is hiding in my cheek somewhere. Einstein invites this and I truly believe he thrives on it. If we ignored him he would probably have a problem with that. I have been posting for about 2 years now and would guess that Joe has probably posted lively balls/bats forever 450 times. It doesn't matter what the thread topic says-he goes there. garyc cannot stop himself from going after Joe and they disparage each other. mad dog believes strongly in a safer game. Joe doesn't-again they disparage each other. Don't feel sorry for Joe-he is in his element!!! This board is a huge source of enjoyment to him. perly, if you take the history out of it and reread this thread, it is absolutely hysterical, feeding off of all of the contested issues. |

It's obvious to all Mark but maybe not to you who and what's going on. And where is SSUSA and their standard on enforcing the rules against disparaging behavior and instigators? What purpose is worth their counter productive response? I went for maximum saturation with the 52 x 275 ball because the whole movement toward it is wrong headed, flawed and will back fire on softball if/when implemented. I love to argue when I believe I am right and hold that it serves a greater good than just for the participants. It teaches and stimulates responders to learn more of what's going on around and to them as well as what they presently think and believe about themselves vis a vis senior softball. |

We're a community, the senior softball community and we know each other and who each other are over 15 years now and longer. We've seen and played with/against each other for years and still at it. We care about one another, defend one another and recognize and support each other all we can. That's why so many of us use our names on the site. Because we're accountable to and proud of ourselves one to the other. And we don't suffer outsiders and fools with bad intentions very well at all. Get a clue, Lou. |
