As of 11 AM this morning, Wild Bunch, IDC and Louisana Legends were left. Legends beat TAG Team first game this morning, then the Legends beat Georgia/Alabama Masters and was to play the loser of the Bunch/IDC game.

Wild Bunch 60 major won the tournament & IDC took 2nd beating the Louisana Ledgens & a birth into the TOC. If my Minnisota friends are reading this thread we are looking forward to playing you next year in the TOC.

IDC had already clinched a 2012 Tournament of Champions berth (in the 60-AAA) when they advanced to the Championship Game vs. the Wild Bunch (60-Major). They made a decision that playing for the Championship and resultant 1st Place Awards was not necessary.

Cannot blame IDC as they made a prudent decision. It was not likely they could beat the Wild Bunch twice to win the tourney so take second place and the TOC berth and be pleased. The Wild Bunch with their former major+ players and 5 or 6 Hall of Famers can be proud they beat up on a bunch of AAA teams. What did that really prove? Hey, Wazoo, check the spell check next time.

What would you prefer, the Wild Bunch not playing in the tournament? They couldn't help it that no other 60 Major teams showed up. They could have put them in the 55 AAA bracket, which might have been the best solution, but to not let them play would have been wrong.

The tournament was well ran, nice parks, hot, but beautiful weather, nice awards and decent, but not great softballs.

I believe Randy Smith beat Kittrell's to win the very tough 50 Major title (I could be wrong, but they finished 1/2.

DT Express won the 9 team 50 AAA title beating JR Trucking in the finals.

Columbus 55 AAA beat Sidelines Grille in a dog fight, 25-24 in the finals.

Oneofeleven18,the Wild Bunch has been together for 4 years with 1 National tournament win which moved us to major plus. The tournament we won was the ISA national in Gallatin,TN which went to 1 pitch due to rain. SSUSA & SPA allowed all teams to remain at the same level due to going to 1 pitch. The best we have done in all national tournaments & the TOC was 3rd this year in the SPA major nationals. We try to play all Nationals within 600 miles of B'Ham & would love to go to SSUSA World but cost wont allow a few players to go. As I mention in a earlier post the Wild Bunch will be folding after this year due to 5 of us playing 65 next year. O by the way theirs 4 hall of famers on the team as of this year, but none of the players have played major plus for 7 years.

wazoo, Played you guys in Dalton and enjoyed playing but not the results. We were in a similar situation in Raleigh at the Eastern National. We were the only Major team left and had to face Turn 2 in the finals ( already got a berth to the TOC). We did not have to play them but figured that it would be good competition. We lost but we did give it our best. I enjoyed playing against them but would never think about not playing for a championship. Thanks Harry # 20 N.V. Force
