Anyone Alive In Washington State?
We're driving up through Oregon, into Washington then on to a week long Alaskan Cruise 9-4/9-11. We'll be in the Seattle area on the 2nd & 3rd - then on the 12th (13th's her birthday I better not push it even though the cruise is her present) then heading back on home.

I'll bring a couple of bats with me that I need to break in - if anyone hits as a normal routine on some of these days let me know and if it's possible maybe we can get in a few rounds of hitting in together.

Pete,
Here is someone who may help you and part of his post here below. I know they play in Port Angeles, Lacey, Kent and Bremerton. Good luck.

Kreugs - Bash

Hope we can hook up. I guess I'll bring two pair of batting gloves and some bandages for my poor bleeding hands.

Jeez you two monsters already leave dents on the field when you walk. With the three of us there pity the field.

Rolling out Saturday.

On the way there we're stopping in Grants Pass Ore. for two days. Then Seven Feathers in Canyonville for a day. On to Toutle River/Castle Rock Ore for a couple of days before steaming in to Everett Wash on the 2nd. Jumping on the boat on the 4th through the 11th and booked in Everett until the 13th. Then heading back which we've left pretty open timing wise.
Hopefully we can hook up and wreak some havoc on some softballs along the way. I have no idea how far apart Everett and Tacoma are time wise.

I think both of you have my number and I have yours. I don't know how it will work during the cruise - they say no (constant) wifi so I'm guessing no cell coverage in most places either. Calling across Canada may also be pricey.

We also have Shane V's number in this thread.

Thanks guys hope to see you soon.

Know some Southern Oregon Flatliners out of Medford (up the road from Grants Pass OR) if you wanted to contact. They play at Century Tel Park, you can see it from I-5. Rick Vargas, Mike Slavenski.

Castle Rock is in WA.

Our senior fall league will be playing on 8/31 if you can get to Lacey, WA by that time (I-5 exit #111), could be some guys there about 4:30pm to hit, league starts 6:15pm and you could actually play as a guest!

I plan to head out for the holiday weekend Friday 9/2.

Thanks Shane -

Final packing almost done - not sure exactly what I've packed for a cold cruise and warm weather RV'g but I've got 3 bats and my glove - should grab spikes too I guess, just not enough room for the roller bag to go - well now that I think on it maybe room for the bag too. The 31st might/maybe could work out as I left the 1st open to stay or be moving. It's always cool to sneak in on a game..........

Ok - time to figure this out.

Just wanted to thank Shane and the guys on the Sigillo Cellars/JCI Jones Chemical team for letting jump in on BP and getting in on 2 games Wed night.

Great group of guys! Went early for BP and needed some more balls to hit with so I tossed out the 6 I had in my bag with the rest. Along the way we lost a couple of mine - next thing I know I check in my bag and there's NINE balls in it. They gave up their own to replace mine. I gave back the extras. As I said - great group of guys - felt right at home and got to knock a little rust off at the same time as a guest third baseman. The weather was perfect and the fields were great. Good stuff.

Thanks again guys. This is what makes what we do special.

Tried to call Art too but got some weird voice mail box answering thing. We'll be on the boat until the 11th and then maybe 3-5 more days up here before heading south so maybe will get another shot with Shane or possibly Kreugs and Art.

If you played with Sigillo you probably played with Stan and Tommy. They won the SSUSA Dancing contest at last years Worlds. Although they are celebrities they are very modest about thier accomplishments. Sigillo has a great bunch of guys on the team.

Well - no one bragged about their dancing skills during the game.

Hopefully it was in the individuals events and not the couples competition...............

Hi Pete:

I hope you had a good time being a part of our squad. We were missing quite a few guys from our tourney team. This team has a lot of fun (sometimes too much) but we seem to be able to turn up the heat at the right time.
What did you think of the fields (The RAC).

How was your cruise?

Thanks:

James

Hi James - so far the cruise is going great - - - - - but I'll have to wait until we actually get on the boat tomorrow at about 11 to give you an up to the minute report.

Loved playing on the fields - good combo with good astro infield and low cut grass outfield. Lighting was excellent with good coverage - nice facility all the way around.

Might be able to catch up with you on the flip side - not sure what the timing will be.

Just wondering...did the Sigillo Cellars/JCI Chemical team change their team name this year from Spot Grille and Tavern ... because Spot Tavern no longer exists under 55 AAA teams and Sigillo Cellars does... both came from the same area in WA. They were all a great bunch of guys, and and an excellant team as well....(1st place in PHX. 55AAA 2010) continued good luck fellas...just wanted to say hi...

Our team is actually made up of some guys from the 50AAA Wolfpack 2010 team, the younger guys off the 2010 55AAA Aero Glass team and a few from others squads including one from the old Spot team. We are sponsored by JCI Jones Chemicals out of Tacoma and Sigillo Winery also out of Washington.

Thank You:

Hey, Richie and James-good to see you guys here on our new, more user friendly board. Richie, we played you in the TOC on that ccccoooolddd morning in Orlando. I was the one with the blue knee brace. You guys had a great team. James, your Aro Glass team broke up?? We want a rematch in Phoenix!!! Good luck to you. We also remember Wolfpack from 2009 Phoenix. We had a great game with them, too.

Webbie 25,
Aro Glass is alive and well in the 60AAA divison.
We had around nine 60's on last years 55AAA team. That was the team you played in PHX and Reno. At the end of the season we all agreed we should move up to 60's. It was a hard decision because the younger guys were not only teamates but friends. They had no problem with the move up and some had even suggested it.

We still manage to play the Sunday games so we are doing alright

Hi Webbie25:

What team did you play on when you played the Wolfpack in 2009? I remember the first bracket game we lost that year on a walk off HR Saturday afternoon.

John, you guys did make a good choice to move up to 60's and you have a very competitve team of good guys. You do know I am in training to take your catcher position?

Thanks:

James

That was us-the Desperados-you walked me intentionally to get to the guy that hit the walkoff homerun. I'm the one with the blue full knee brace and had hit one out in the 6th inning so you took your chances with Mark Rizzo. It was his only hr of the tournament. That was a great game.
local-we had the same decision with the Desperados-family team but had to move up to 55. You still remain friends.

That was a good game and wasnt there a very small guy up after Mark?
I messed up that game and hit a solo in like the 3rd inning. Two weeks before that tourney I tore a quad and it is two years later and next Tuesday I am going to see the surgeon to see if he can sew it back together. right now if I bend the wrong way it feel like somebody sticks an ice pick in my thigh. Who are you playing for now?
GSWP001, we had fun the other night. a little too hot for me. Was trying out a new bat. got a U2 Max load and i have never used one before. Felt OK but I need to find the sweet spot.

Thanks:

James-that 'small' guy does have occasional 300 foot power, but is a very good hitter. JW surprises us all at times. I was the winning run on first-you don't want to put me in scoring position, right? It was a good game.

Sorry to hear about your Quad-that seems to be a tough one to fix. Good luck.

Webbie:

I did not use a good choice or words, I should have said i remembered him being not nearly as big as the guy who hit the walk off. I am not even 5'10" and 180 so am not one of the bigger guys myself.
The quad thing is kind of a weird injury. It has been completely detached and rolled up in the middle of the thigh for two years but seems to get more sensitive with time. Can still move descent with it so that is really all that matters.

Have a good weekend.

James-no offense taken-we are having a good laugh over it!!! Our team thrives of making fun of each other on and off the field. The guy that hit that is about 6'1" and has occasional power. Take care of that Quad.
